Monsters Await In Space Wars: Quest For The Deepstar Trailer [EXCUSIVE]

Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive first look at the trailer for Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar, a sci-fi adventure from Uncork’d Entertainment. The action-packed film, which arrives in select theaters on April 21 before becoming available on digital May 2, stars Michael Paré (Streets of Fire), Olivier Gruner (Showdown in Manila), and Sarah French (Pretty Boy). It was selected to screen at Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival, already highlighting its great promise.

Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar, which was directed by Gero Setian and written by Joe Knetter, follows a father and daughter who work as space scavengers and are searching for legendary treasures which they must outrun evil mercenaries to obtain. In a futuristic world (the year 2980, to be exact) filled with monsters, aliens, and robots, they will do what they can to survive and hopefully bring back a lost loved one. The trailer for Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar introduces the concept of an afterlife via the extraction of a recently deceased person’s “Essence.” The only problem is that the procedure is expensive, leaving a desperate father and daughter searching for the mythical Deepstar, a freighter said to be carrying a bounty big enough to bring their wife and mother back — and much more. But their plan is a dangerous one, and harm awaits at every turn.

Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar also stars Tyler Gallant (Alpha Wolf), Rachele Brooke Smith (Nightmare Shark), Anahit Setian (Automation), Jed Rowen (Blind), Elise Muller (Dolls), and Sadie Katz (Wrong Turn 6). A co-production between Hungry Monster Entertainment, Millman Productions, and Ron Lee Productions, the film also counts Robert Parigi (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as one of its producers.

Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar arrives in select theaters on April, with a digital release date set for May 2.
