Minecraft Dungeons: How to Defeat the Redstone Golem

The Redstone Golem appears as a major boss in Fiery Forge on Default. Unbecoming of its size, the Redstone Golem moves relatively quickly and attacks swiftly whilst packing a huge punch. On Adventure and Apocalypse difficulty, the Redstone golem’s melee attack can kill in a single swing if players don’t have enough defense buff and enchantments on their armor. There is a large square on the Golem’s back but hitting it doesn’t do much of a difference in damage so don’t spend too much energy trying to hit it. More Redstone Golem’s’ will spawn regularly during the levels that follow after it, to the point they start becoming a regular occurrence on harder difficulties.

Once players reach the boss room in Fiery Forge, the Archilleger will summon the Red Stone Golem. The boss room is filled with lava pools so be extra careful not to walk into them as the damage per second is pretty immense. The golem usually chooses a single person to chase so keep a distance for at least 5-10 seconds. If players continue to run away, the Golem will continue to chase, preventing it from stopping to do its next attack. After allowing the golem to reach players after a bit of time, it will crouch down and cause proximity mines to appear around the map. Players should damage the Golem as much as possible while it is crouched down, and run away once it gets up and starts moving again. While this method is ideal for playing solo, players can employ a different strategy when playing in a group. Someone must pull aggro from the Golem and start running around it in circles at a medium pace. Moving to quickly will cause the Golem to quickly reverse rotation and land a devastating hit on the player pulling aggro. Other players can sit back and shoot arrows or abilities during this time until the Golem finally stops spinning and crouches down. Everyone should rush and do as much damage as possible and simply repeat the process until it is dead. As stated before, the Redstone Golem becomes a common appearance, so get used to employing these strategies quickly and they will all fall with relative ease.

Minecraft Dungeons is available on Xbox, Ps4, and PC.
