Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow was one of the first Chapter 1, “Gods and Monsters” projects to be announced when Gunn and Peter Safran laid out their initial slate of DC Universe movies and TV shows. The movie’s title is pulled directly from the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic of the same name, which was an eight-issue series by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. King is also attached to Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow as an architect, as he is involved with DC Studios’ creative group.

A director for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is currently being searched while the screenplay has been completed by Ana Nogueira. While it has yet to be confirmed or denied, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is reportedly eying a fall production start. However, casting for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is underway, according to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav.
