Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles: Josh & Matt Altman Selling Britney Spears’ Home

It looks like Britney Spears’ former Beverly Hills home is on the market again… and Josh and Matt Altman from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles are hoping to seal the deal.

Spears first moved into the home in early 2007, in the midst of her divorce from Kevin Federline, who was her backup dancer. Many will remember 2007 as the year Britney had her infamous meltdown. She shaved her head and shocked the world. At the time, Spears was a new mother to two sons, Jayden and Sean, who are now 13 and 14, respectively. The star’s fancy house was purchased with the children in mind but Federline currently spends more time with the two boys than Britney does. Today, the house maintains many child-friendly elements. Spears sold the house five years after she bought it.

This isn’t the first time the Italian villa-inspired home has hit the market. Two years ago, this Housewife-worth property was listed with a selling price of $9 million. It seems the Altman’s decided that the home is worth much less now, as it is currently listed for $6.8 million. The house is located in a gated community which is perfect for celebrities in need of a lot of privacy. On top of that, the home itself is gated and there are no angles from other houses or hills which might enable paparazzi to get a lucky shot. There are six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. Amenities include a two-story entryway, a home theatre, a chef’s kitchen, and a home office. The backyard is an oasis. This large outdoor space features a saltwater pool, a Jacuzzi, and a fire pit.

The home is a perfect fit for a pop star, a reality TV celebrity, or another type of wealthy client who is family-oriented. When Spears lived there, the home featured a custom treehouse for her sons, so there’s likely still plenty of space for future owners to build another one. Lower chlorine levels in the saltwater pool are gentler for children. The property also features a separate guest house, perfect for friends of the family, grandparents, and in-laws. The five bedrooms outside of the primary bedroom leave plenty of space for nurseries or kids’ rooms, according to Yahoo! Entertainment.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles is currently in its 12th season, but it’s possible that the sale of Spears’ former home may be featured on season 13 (if it’s renewed). The buzz from the sale of a former celebrity home may attract more viewers. The 12th season premiered in mid-June, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, so the show may be struggling in terms of ratings. Netflix’s Selling Sunset, a brokerage show with a similar premise, poses some substantial competition and features much more added drama. Spears stans will just have to wait and see if they can watch the sale process on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles… and get a deeper inside look at Britney’s former mansion.
