Million Dollar Beach House: What to Know About Nest Seekers’ Owner Eddie Shapiro

Five Nest Seekers International agents are the face of Million Dollar Beach House, but there’s a lot to know about the firm’s off-screen owner, Eddie Shapiro. The new Netflix reality series dropped this week, adding another real estate drama to the streaming platform’s summer lineup. Focused on agents in the company’s Hamptons office, the series follows the realtors as they rush to sell luxury properties before summer (and the buying season) ends, all while handling inter-personal conflicts in the office. Though the debut season is only six episodes, the show dives into the cut-throat Hamptons market and personal lives of the agents brave enough to work in it.

Broker James “Jimmy” Giugliano, a young hot-shot in the city’s real estate scene, heads the office. As the boss should, Jimmy stays out of the other brokers’ drama, instead occupying himself with selling high-commission estates. Childhood best friends Michael Fulfree and JB Andreassi, the office rookie, are the bros of the series. Michael is trying to rake in the big bucks to prepare for his child’s birth, while JB is still working to make a name for himself. Another newcomer to the office, Peggy Zabakolas, is turning her 10 years of Manhattan experience into a foothold to becoming Nest Seekers’ most ambitious agent. Finally, Noel Roberts, a professional ping pong player turned broker, is the center of office drama.

Though these agents represent Nest Seekers International in the series, CEO Eddie Shapiro heads the firm and its global offices. According to The Cinemaholic, Shapiro founded the firm in 2001 and has now grown it to a worldwide enterprise with 25 international offices and over 1,000 employed agents. The Nest Seekers brand is respected in the industry, and their agents are often featured as expert commentators in news outlets such as CNBC and The Washington Post. Specializing in luxury estates, the company sports a rolodex of millionaire and billionaire clients.

Million Dollar Beach House: What to Know About Nest Seekers’ Owner Eddie Shapiro

Eddie Shapiro began his real estate career in 1990s Manhattan, working his way up from a small firm to CEO of a globally-recognized company. Alongside his thriving real estate empire, Shapiro has a lovely wife and three children to come home to after a long day of work at the office. Being the CEO, he certainly brings home the bacon, as his net worth is estimated to be nearly $25 million. Shapiro is hoping to increase that gob-smacking figure by expanding the Nest Seekers brand into the realm of entertainment.

Some reality fans may already recognize the Nest Seekers name from Ryan Serhant in Million Dollar Listing: New York. Through Shapiro’s recently launched company Nest Media, the CEO hopes to bring even more agents and offices to the small screen. Million Dollar Beach House was a collaboration between Nest Media and Netflix, with Shapiro serving as an executive producer. The new series has yet to be renewed for another season, but odds are Shapiro is keeping his fingers crossed.
