Meyers-Briggs® Personality Types Of Loki Characters

Meyers-Briggs® Personality Types Of Loki Characters

Loki is one of the best shows to have emerged from the most recent phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it makes full use of Tom Hiddleston’s unique brand of charisma and the enduring charm of the character Loki. However, though Thor’s mischievous adopted brother is the series’ primary character and protagonist, Loki also features a number of other characters, all of whom have their own personalities, ambitions, and goals.

As a result, it can be very interesting to analyze them through the system provided by the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator®, which shows just how complicated they really are. Fans may be surprised to learn how well some of the best characters in Loki fit into the MBTI® personality categories.

Loki – ENTJ

Meyers-Briggs® Personality Types Of Loki Characters

Of all of the personality types, the ENTJ is the one that is most uniquely suited to leadership, and they are the type of people that will always take charge in a given situation. That definitely describes Loki, who is not known for just sitting around and letting things happen to him. Instead, Loki comes up with the best schemes to help him get what he wants.

From the first episode to the last, he makes it clear that he will always seize any opportunities that present themselves to him, and that he will do whatever is necessary in order to get ahead and fulfill his own ambitions. No wonder Loki is one of Tom Hiddleston’s best roles.

Ravonna – INFJ

Ravonna holds out her baton in Loki

As driven as Loki is, he is matched in his intensity by the character of Ravonna, who believes so strongly in the mission of the Time Variance Authority that she is willing to sacrifice almost everything for its benefit (including her friendships).

This aligns her with the INFJ personality type, which is very committed to order and stability and is also deeply invested in their values. As she shows time and time again throughout the series, there is no one who is as devoted to the TVA as she is.

Hunter B-15 – INFP

While Ravonna is one of the leaders of the TVA, Hunter B-15 is more of an enforcer, one of those sent out to make sure that variants aren’t allowed to cause disruption to the Sacred Timeline.

Given that she is very much in the mold of the INFP personality type, she always tries to make sure that the world outside of her fits in with what she believes. This also makes her one of the TVA’s most committed members, but it’s also what makes her the perfect person to turn against them once their corruption is revealed.

Miss Minutes – ESFJ

Even though she isn’t a “real” person, Miss Minutes still has a very important part to play in the action of Loki. After all, she has all of the information about the TVA at her fingertips, and she can access it any time that she wants.

She is a very helpful form of artificial intelligence, which means that she fits in quite well with the personality type known as the ESFJ. Of all the personality types, ESFJ is the one that is most skilled at noticing what others need and providing it.

Mobius – ENFJ

Mobius is definitely one of Owen Wilson’s best roles, and he’s a very sympathetic character in the series. He’s one of the few people involved in the TVA who sees Loki as something more than a dangerous variant and a source of chaos and destruction.

As such, he is very much an ENFJ, a personality type characterized by its innate empathy and ability to understand the needs and desires of others. And, just as importantly, he also shows that personality type’s ability to be an effective leader.

Sylvie – INTJ

Unlike the main Loki, who isn’t totally opposed to the TVA, Sylvie is singleminded in the belief that it must be completely overthrown. She is thus one of the series bravest characters, willing to take on anyone who gets in the way of what she believes to be the right course of action.

She exemplifies the personality of an INTJ as she is very driven, and believes what is good for her will be good for others. As a result, she tends to hold everyone, including Loki, to very high standards.

Classic Loki – ESTP

Classic Loki is one of Richard E. Grant’s best roles, and he represents an alternative path that Loki did not take. He is one of the variants that has been banished, but he shows that he is also a hero and that, when it comes right down to it, he is willing to sacrifice his life for a cause greater than himself.

He also shows many of the traits that are typically associated with the ESTP, and as such he has a very pragmatic approach to the challenges that life throws his way.

He Who Remains – ISTP

There are few more powerful entities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than He Who Remains, who has taken it upon himself to make sure that the Sacred Timeline is maintained. He’s a very soft-spoken person, but it’s clear that he is also the type of individual that isn’t going to just stand by when a problem presents itself.

He exhibits all of the signs of the ISTP, which means that he will do everything in his power to try to address and correct an issue when it arises.

Kid Loki – ESTJ

Kid Loki is one of the variants that has also been banished, and for good reason. He actually succeeded in defeating Thor and has sought to establish himself as the leader of the void in which he finds himself.

Even though he is still a very young person, he is clearly quite skilled and ruthless when it comes to being a leader, which makes him align very well with the ESTJ personality type, which is very decisive and determined to assert their vision of the world.

President Loki – ESTJ

President Loki is another of those Lokis who posed a danger to the Sacred Timeline and, if anything, he is even more ruthless than Kid Loki, determined to forge his own army and his own destiny.

And, like Kid Loki, he also shows many signs of aligning with the ESTJ, which ensures that he poses a grave threat to both Hiddleston’s Loki and to the other Lokis. He’s not the type to let anything stand in his way of asserting his vision on the world around him, and this makes him one of the best Loki variants in the series.
