Since My Big Fat Fabulous Life season 9 ended, Whitney has been showing extra glimpses into her past life as a teenager. The dancer recently posted a throwback to high school with her best friend, Heather Sykes. Fans love walking down memory lane with the TLC star and can’t wait to hear the stories behind her snaps.
For nine seasons, Whitney has been steadfast in her relationships with her Greensboro group. Even though she decided to move away for a year to Charlotte, she couldn’t leave her sidekicks for too long. Fans came to know Whitney thanks to a viral video that shot her to fame. Since TLC signed her up for her show, she has been taking the body-positive world by storm and showing that you can still have a fabulous life no matter what your size. Heather, Tal Fish, Todd Beasley, Buddy Bell, and Ashley Baynes have been by her side through good times and bad, making it clear these are special friendships.
Over the weekend, Whitney took to her social media to share a cute photo of her and Heather from their high school days. Whitney revealed her 2002 look in a touching throwback, complete with ice blue eye shadow and a Delia’s tank top. The first snap showed the two friends posing at what looked like a school dance. Whitney shared the two met via Todd at their high school performance of Grease. Heather was Rizzo while Whitney played Cha-Cha. Heather and Whitney’s friendship has stood the test of time, with the dancer posting she was “grateful” for Heather. According to Whitney, Heather is loyal, steadfast, and “always wants the best for you.” The second photo showed both the star’s glow-up as they posed in matching swimsuits while hanging out in the pool. Whitney and Heather stood back to back and were all smiles as they celebrated their friendship.
The accolades kept pouring in as Whitney wrote that Heather was not only beautiful and smart but also a great mother to her two children. Heather has always supported her best friend and often stood up for her when Whitney fell on hard times. My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans have enjoyed watching the two women evolve over the years. It is obvious the women have something special, and fans look forward to hopefully watching them on season 10 in the near future.
