Netflix’s upcoming show Buying Beverly Hills will feature real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky and his two oldest daughters, Alexia Umansky and Farrah Aldjufrie; however, his wife Kyle Richards from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills won’t be making much of a feature. Buying Beverly Hills has just started streaming on Netflix and Kyle only makes one brief cameo via FaceTime and doesn’t appear at any other time in the show.
While most of their family stars on the new show and Kyle does not, Mauricio chalks it up to being “an issue between networks,” in an interview he did with Us Weekly. Mauricio’s real estate business is called The Agency and Farrah, 34, and Alexia, 26, work for him there. The part where they FaceTime Kyle is after Farrah gets engaged to her boyfriend Alex Manos. After the proposal takes place, she immediately FaceTimes both Kyle and Mauricio to tell them the good news.
Alexia And Farrah Feel Closer As A Family After Taping Buying Beverly Hills
The show features their careers and how being on camera trying to live your life can be difficult. Alexia said, “When you’re on camera and you’re doing these things, you’re really forced to kind of talk about things you don’t really wanna talk about.” This is something that their mom Kyle has a lot of experience doing being a seasoned cast member of RHOBH, but even though she is good in front of a camera it just didn’t come to fruition that she joined them on the show.
Despite Kyle not being on the show, Alexia and Farrah did talk about how it brought those of them who did closer together as a family. Farrah talks about how going on a show with your family can be a risky thing to do. Laying it all out there with their personal lives as well as their business can be scary, but it’s something that she knew they would be good at as long as they were “authentic” about everything. Alexia said that she feels so much closer to her sister and her dad after taping the show. “I think the three of us have really created this extra strong bond in going through the hardships that we did and the emotions that we did.”
Some believe that Kyle’s behavior sometimes on RHOBH is the reason that she was unable to be on the new Netflix show. Mauricio talked to US Weekly saying that it is “really hard to watch” his wife’s fight with Kathy Hilton on RHOBH. He talks about how he believes Kyle is in the right and that all he can do is be supportive of her because he knows that not all the details truly come out on shows like RHOBH. He went on to say “I think that it’s sad the way it’s being portrayed… but Kyle’s so strong and she’s such a good person that she’s not even out there really trying to defend herself too much.”
Buying Beverly Hills is available to stream now on Netflix.
