Marvel’s Midnight Suns: The Best Deck Build For Scarlet Witch

Marvel’s Midnight Suns: The Best Deck Build For Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch is a late arrival in Marvel’s Midnight Suns but a powerful addition to the team. After freeing her from Lilith’s control, players can begin utilizing her magic. She excels at causing large-scale chaos in the enemy lineup, preferring to strike at areas rather than specific targets.

It will take a while for players to unlock Scarlet Witch, but she has a strong synergy with her underused mentor Doctor Strange. Her passive ability, Wrong Place, Wrong Time, can debuff nearby enemies, allowing her allies to target once-strong bosses more effectively. The goal of Scarlet Witch’s deck is to take advantage of enemy groups and her proximity to them.

The Perfect Scarlet Witch Deck

Marvel’s Midnight Suns: The Best Deck Build For Scarlet Witch

The best way to take advantage of Scarlet Witch diving into battle is with Hex Field. This attack targets all the enemies near Scarlet Witch. Both the base card and Hex Field+ do a lot of damage to each enemy, although Hex Field+ can deal over 100 damage. This means, as with all heroes in Midnight Suns, it is vital to increase the Friendship Level with Scarlet Witch to upgrade both this card and all others in the deck. Hex Field is so powerful that it is the only Attack Card in the deck with two copies.

Chaos Reigns will also have two copies in the deck. This Heroic Card makes all the enemies in a chosen area attack each other. Not only does this hurt enemies without risk to the heroes, but it can group them together to better support Scarlet Witch’s future moves. With a large selection of enemies bunched together, Scarlet Witch can draw Detonate.

Detonate can activate an explosive with 100% more range and intensity while not hurting heroes, a clever use of the environment that makes Midnight Suns‘ turn-based combat amazing. It’s cheap to play at 2 Heroism and its upgraded form gives +1 Heroism upon redraw. Detonate pairs well with Hex Mark, as it could take out the enemies Scarlet Witch applies Marked to within an area and quickly restore a Card Play or two.

All of these cards benefit from Unleashed, which increases the size of Scarlet Witch’s abilities by either 25% or 40% for 2 turns. Considering her powers focus on area attacks and large-scale influence, playing this card can change the game. As a Skill Card, it also rewards 2 Heroism that the player can then feed back into Scarlet Witch’s chaotic onslaught. If she didn’t appear so late into the game, she could be considered another OP Midnight Suns hero.

Everything leads up to playing No More. With this card, Scarlet Witch takes all of her health and translates it into a massive area attack, hitting all enemies near her. If paired with Unleashed, Scarlet Witch could explode across the entire map. Played at the right time, Scarlet Witch can bring a brilliant end to a Mission. Any player who enjoys hitting as many enemies as possible will love using Scarlet Witch’s deck to spread chaos across Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
