The global smash sensation that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe used intertwining stories to set up two of the biggest films in history; Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. These films finally brought together the sinister plan of the Mad Titan Thanos, a character so synonymous with evil that one could argue that he is this generation’s Darth Vader or Emperor. Now fans of the complex supervillain have a chance to take him, and his loyal cronies, the Children of Thanos, home to their collection in the form of some really impressive new Marvel Legends action figures from Hasbro.
A new five pack of figures has gone live for pre-order on Amazon as part of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Series: The Children of Thanos. The Marvel Legends Series is known for its high quality design and intensely detailed figurines, setting them apart from just your average toy.
Focused on Infinity War specifically, the pack features Thanos and his faithful Black Order, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, and Cull Obsidian, all sporting their movie-inspired designs. Each of the pieces are six inch scale replicas, with premium articulation to allow for various posing and incredible detail that makes them feel as if they just jumped right off the screen. The figures also include their weapons from the film as interchangeable pieces, allowing the collector even more display options. While some of these characters have been released as part of the Marvel Legends line in the past, this pack features newly re-imagined sculpts with greater detail in both their design and paint job.
What really sets this collection apart though is the main man himself, Thanos. He comes included with an alternative head and arm, giving the owner the ability to recreate the infamous snap themselves as the interchangeable pieces reflect the villain before the event, mid snap, as well as the damage caused to himself and the gauntlet afterwards.
These figures are undeniably incredible, but as they are exclusive to Amazon, they will be quite hard to get one’s hands on after the pre-order ends. Set to release December 15th, the pre-orders are live as of today. The set comes in at a total of $119.99 USD, which may sound a bit pricey, but when one factors in not only the amount of figures and interchangeable pieces the pack comes with, as well as the stellar quality and detail of each piece, it really starts to seem a lot more reasonable.
