The epic directorial career of Martin Scorsese is getting an ambitious comic homage, taking fans through the career of the once-in-a-lifetime director. The comic sees Scorsese take the reader on a tour of his life and career, including pop culture-shaping accomplishments Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and The Last Temptation of Christ.

Now, Screen Rant can exclusively share a preview of the 384-page graphic novel, courtesy of Titan Comics and creator Amazing Ameziane, who handles both writing and art for the work. The previously revealed cover – an homage to Scorsese’s 1973 Mean Streets – is now joined by several pages tracking some of Scorses’s biggest projects, major awards successes, and a page parodying cinema contemporary George Lucas.

Martin Scorsese is the third in Amazing Ameziane’s Cine Trilogy, with previous entries telling the behind-the-scenes stories of Quentin Tarantino and Francis Ford Coppola (in Quentin by Tarantino and Don Coppola respectively.) The graphic novel’s summary reads:

From Amazing Ameziane, the creator of Quentin by Tarantino and Muhammad Ali, comes the final volume in his Cine Trilogy of graphic novels.

Based on the lives and films of acclaimed cinema icons, this book focuses on the legendary director Martin Scorsese of Goodfellas fame.

“For as far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a film director…”

In this first-person graphic novel, Martin Scorsese, totally possessed by his love of cinema, tells the story of the journey of the asthmatic little boy from Little Italy who went on to become one of the world’s greatest directors.

Martin takes the reader on a witty journey through his somewhat rock and roll life and behind the scenes of the cinematic masterpieces he has given us.
