Brett’s flirtatious behavior on Married at First Sight season 11 wasn’t only a surprise to viewers. His wife Olivia witnessed his behavior for the first time during the premiere, describing it as “shocking.” Unfortunately, her stated shock won’t end there as “The Serial Dater” continues to make inappropriate statements about his wife.
As early as the Married at First Sight: Matchmaking Special Brett made his lifestyle clear. The 35-year-old openly admitted to dating 45 women in the past few years (hence the nickname “The Serial Dater”). Even more astonishing are his vanity and blatant attempts to flirt despite being engaged. His flirting has no boundaries as he’s made an uncomfortable attempt at his castmate Henry’s friend, Kristen, and asked Bennett if his sister was single. Olivia has yet to be privy to this behavior until now with the airing of the season.
In a recent Us Weekly article, Olivia shared her immediate reactions after watching the premiere. “It sounds like looks are everything to Brett, and the flirting…eek!” shared the nurse practitioner. She continued: “Some of the things Brett says are so shocking to me. He sounds like a playboy.” Olivia’s shocked reaction shows that Brett was not honest with her about his actions. His questionable behavior could lead to problems in their marriage if they are not already divorced.
Brett has continued to make appalling statements, even about his wife. In a conversation with his brothers, who asked his thoughts about becoming intimate with a stranger, he replied, “most of the sex I’ve had has been with strangers…sleeping with her will not be much of a problem.” In a separate conversation with Olivia’s friends, he was asked what was his biggest fear. After describing worrying about his contacts drying out he went on to describe how “super simple” it is to get married. Getting married can be simple if you don’t care, which he’s proven he doesn’t.
While it has been clear to fans Brett and Olivia may not last because of his behavior, the 30-year-old self-proclaimed cat lady is discovering the warning signs in real-time with the rest of the world. Their wedding day was filled with heartwarming moments and their shared love of cats and Taco Bell but will that be enough to keep them together?
