Michaela Clark from Married at First Sight spilled the tea regarding her relationship with Zack, telling fans she was “contractually obligated” to stay in the relationship. Viewers were well aware that the couple had a stressful relationship on MAFS season 13. Most fans already believed Michaela and Zack had given up on their marriage, with this statement seemingly proving their thoughts.
Married At First Sight season 13 has shown the arguments getting increasingly more intense, with some couples seemingly already hitting their breaking point. Zack and Michaela started out as strong contenders but soon found themselves in the biggest blowout of the entire season, and now they are struggling to move past their mean words. The argument over movie night did not help their communication. While fans had high hopes for the pair, the two have had an uphill battle from the start. Not only have they had to deal with physical and emotional obstacles, but Zack and Michaela have also failed to form a tight bond.
This week, Michaela took to her Instagram Story to share some behind-the-scenes knowledge of her relationship with Zack. In a post that was mushed between a chunk of other memes, she wrote, “Look ya’ll, I am legally married (only because I’m contractually obligated to be) but very estranged.” The reality star knew writing that message would get her in trouble because a few Stories later, she told fans that she wouldn’t be saying anything else and only posted dancing memes from then on. Michaela also revealed that she had not spoken directly to Zack in months, calling him “that man.” The Houston native did wish her estranged husband all the best before returning to her funny posts.
Sadly, it doesn’t feel like Zack and Michaela stood a chance, especially after Zack came down with COVID-19 while on their honeymoon. Their once strong connection was easily broken when Michaela decided to return to Texas out of an abundance of caution. Zack and Michaela were enjoying the Florida sun, but after their separation, the line of communication seemed to fail. The Married at First Sight couple appeared to be another casualty of the quarantine life. They could only speak over the phone, which caused them to lose valuable time getting to know one another.
Even though Zack was allowed to return to married life after getting the all-clear, the duo was too far gone to reconnect. Fans of Married at First Sight watched as they argued over everything, causing a more extensive blockade to grow between them. It is no surprise to fans that Michaela hasn’t seen or spoken to Zack. While she may have needed to blow off some steam on social media, odds are she won’t be leaking any more information since she most likely signed an NDA.
