M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap Footage Reveals A Major Twist Right Away At CinemaCon

Trap, the new movie from M. Night Shyamalan, has just debuted its first footage at CinemaCon. After the release of Old and Knock at the Cabin, Shyamalan is set to return to the thriller genre with Trap, an upcoming film that features Josh Hartnett in the starring role. The film is said to follow a father and daughter who attend a pop concert only to find that they’ve inadvertently put themselves into the middle of a sinister event.

With the Trap release date still a few months away, Warner Bros. has now screened the first footage from the movie at CinemaCon, for which Screen Rant is in attendance. The footage starts with Hartnett’s character and his daughter attending Lady Raven concert, before he heads off for the restroom. Upon noticing that there is a heavy police presence, Hartnett’s character finds out from a fellow attendee that the concert is a trap to catch a serial killer. The big twist is that Hartnett is the serial killer, and it’s revealed on his phone that he’s holding a victim hostage. The clip ends with Hartnett laughing manically.
