Lucifer Season 5 Poster Hints at Chloe’s Budding Romance With The Devil

Lucifer Season 5 Poster Hints at Chloe’s Budding Romance With The Devil

The first poster for Lucifer season 5 is here, and it has brought Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer (Tom Ellis) closer than ever. The Fox-turned-Netflix show will return for the first part of its fifth season next month and continue the story of the infamous Lord of Hell. While much of Lucifer‘s run so far has focused on Lucifer’s time in L.A. running the nightclub Lux, the fourth season finale threw fans for a loop when he made the decision to return to Hell in order to keep the demons there in line. Tragically, this came right after Chloe professed her love for Lucifer, leaving them in a very precarious place for season 5.

Just last week, Netflix unveiled the first trailer for Lucifer season 5, and it provided another game-changing twist for fans. While it is certain that Lucifer himself will return to L.A., he’ll be beaten to the punch by his equally devilish twin brother Michael. Michael’s main goal appears to be taking over Lucifer’s life, which includes getting in on his brother’s relationship with Chloe. Needless to say, Lucifer fans have quite the season ahead of them, and it’s even more exciting this time around because it will be released in two parts.

This latest Lucifer update arrives courtesy of TVLine, who released the very first poster for season 5. Armed with the tagline “Give in to temptation,” it shows Chloe and Lucifer locked in a rather tight embrace. Or could that actually be Michael? Check it out down below.

It certainly looks like Chloe will be tempted in Lucifer season 5, and the trailer featured some pretty steamy moments. However, the arrival of Michael is bound to complicate matters once Lucifer returns (whenever that may be). Beyond that, fans already know the fourth episode will be a black and white styled episode that revisits a tale from Lucifer’s past in the 1940s, and that Chloe isn’t the only one upset with Lucifer’s departure. The first eight episodes of the season will arrive on Netflix on August 21, with the additional batch likely dropping sometime in 2021.

Season 5 was originally intended to be the end of Lucifer, but new deals for Ellis and co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have led to a sixth season. Lucifer season 6 was announced just last month, and this time it promises to be the very last adventure for the Devil and his friends. However, most fans are likely fixated on the impending arrival of season 5; it’s a good thing they just have a month to go.

Lucifer season 5 will premiere on Netflix on August 21.
