Lucifer: 10 Characters That Will (Probably) Never Die

Lucifer: 10 Characters That Will (Probably) Never Die

Immortality can come in handy. Especially when a hero deals with their enemies on regular basis. Not all Lucifer main or supporting characters have the added perk of being supernatural creatures, though. As a result, some of them are more likely to get injured or even die on the show. Either because they’re more vulnerable or because their importance isn’t so great.

On the other hand, some characters are almost certain to survive. Killing them off might prove impossible, and not just because some of them are demons or angels. From a storytelling point of view, Lucifer is most likely to keep certain characters alive.

Amenadiel

Lucifer: 10 Characters That Will (Probably) Never Die

Just like his brother Lucifer, Amenadiel has been around a long time. He was even responsible for Chloe being born in the first place. Amenadiel is an angel, and as such, it’s hard to imagine someone would even be able to kill him for good – unless they had a special weapon at their disposal. Now that Amenadiel has become a father, he leads a more ordinary life, which means he’s possibly safer from danger than ever before.

Chloe Decker

Lucifer Season 5 Chloe Decker talks to Lucifer

As a detective, Chloe Decker hasn’t chosen the safest line of work for herself. She’s already been hurt on the show, although obviously, she survived. It happened right in the first episode, after all. It’s unlikely the show would kill her for good since she not only has to take care of Trixie but Chloe’s complicated relationship with Lucifer also deserves its resolution.

Trixie

Lucifer Trixie plays with Lucifer

Speaking of Trixie, she’s also unlikely to die on the show. Lucifer might be open to portraying violence but what it doesn’t do is hurt children. So despite the fact that both of her parents work in the police force which could potentially endanger Trixie (if a wanted criminal targeted her, for example), she should be just fine. Plus, Trixie has Maze to protect her, who has grown to love the young and smart girl.

Penelope Decker

Lucifer Penelope, Dan, Trixie and Chloe

Chloe’s mother Penelope only rarely appears on the show and it looks like she doesn’t play that big a part in Chloe’s life. That might very well be the thing that protects Penelope from dying (even if it’s not the best thing for their relationship).

Considering all the supernatural drama Chloe’s entangled in, it’s safer for Penelope to stay away. What’s more, Chloe has already lost one parent so it’s doubtful the show would take her mom away too.

Charlie

Amenadiel holds baby Charlie

Just like Trixie, it’s unlikely that the show would decide to kill Charlie since he’s still a baby. Lucifer took quite some time to establish the relationship between Amenadiel and Linda that resulted in Charlie’s birth. Now that he’s been born, it’s a chance to explore what a human-angel baby would be like and Charlie’s sudden death would end this storyline before it could properly evolve.

Linda Martin

Amenadiel and Linda Martin in Lucifer Season 4

Linda is another character with an unfinished storyline that would be great to see the ending of. As Linda revealed in the show, she had a daughter when she was very young but she abandoned her. Linda recently met her daughter again but decided not to tell her the truth. That, combined with her raising Charlie, are major reasons why the show isn’t likely to kill Linda soon.

Maze

Lucifer and Maze standing together, her arms folded and him smiling.

Maze might not be as powerful as Amenadiel and Lucifer but she’s close enough. From what the show has previously established, demons are immortal – at least until they decide to give up their immortality.

So even though Maze can get hurt and higher beings, such as Lucifer, could possibly kill her, she’s safe from most of the threats humans could think of. Plus, her impressive fighting skills ensure that it’s difficult to truly endanger Maze.

Lucifer

Lucifer saves Chloe with his wings.

The only person possibly more secure in their survival than Chloe is Lucifer himself. After all, the show is named after him and it’s difficult to imagine Lucifer dying anytime soon. Lucifer is thousands of years old and the only thing that makes him vulnerable is Chloe’s presence – but not always. Combined with his intelligence and ability to manipulate people, Lucifer has a pretty strong chance to stay alive.

God

Lucifer Season 5 God Dennis Haysbert

Lucifer’s dad showed up in the latest episode of the fifth season to stop Lucifer, Amenadiel, and Michael from fighting. God is even more powerful than his children, and as such, it’s safe to assume he’s also immortal. It remains unclear what he can do but now that he’s finally appeared in person, the show is unlikely to erase him from the story so fast.

Goddess

Lucifer the Goddess leaves the Earth

Lucifer’s mom took over the body of Charlotte Richards. Determined to get away from Hell and from her husband, she caused quite a bit of chaos for Lucifer. Despite that, they managed to reconcile in the end. Lucifer even created a place for his mom where she could live away from her husband. Since she seems to be immortal and is now out of the picture, Lucifer won’t most likely see her die (unlike Charlotte herself).
