Leslie Golden did an Instagram Q&A and shared her thoughts on her Love Island USA co-stars Shannon St Claire, Josh Goldstein, Kyra Lizama, Will Moncada, Olivia Kaiser, and Korey Gandy. The fans got to know Leslie during the Casa Amor twist. She was a standout newbie among that group of girls, and she made waves for pursuing a few guys in the villa and turning a lot of their heads as a result.
When Casa Amor came to an end on Love Island USA season 3, Korey Gandy chose to leave his friends-only partnership with Cashay Proudfoot to re-couple with Leslie Golden. With that said, Leslie was exploring a few potential relationships in the villa with guys like Cinco and Jeremy Hershberg, and things never grew between her and Korey. Ultimately, Leslie’s journey came to an abrupt end when she chose to quit the show for “personal reasons.” Now, she is spilling the tea on her fellow co-stars.
Shannon & Josh
Following the announcement of her Love Island USA exit, Leslie took to Instagram to answer questions from a few fans (screenshots included below). In regards to her on-screen drama with Shannon St Claire, Leslie said that she hasn’t seen what was featured on the show, but that she “personally [has] never fought with Shannon.” A fan then asked about the argument between Genieve Shawcross and Shannon, to which Leslie wrote: “They’re both so amazing, and they have love for each other and fight like siblings.” In turn, Leslie shot down theories that she’d pursue Josh Goldstein in the villa had she stayed on the show. “I think he is the person he is because of Shannon! Their love for each other is so passionate and beautiful to watch and I see no reason to ever come between that.”
Kyra & Will
Leslie also addressed the rumors that Will Moncada and Kyra Lizama are playing the game to win the show and perhaps even knew each other before Love Island USA. She wrote, “After seeing them in person, I quickly realized how perfect they are together. They’re seriously a beautiful couple, as are Shannon and Josh, and I’m 100% rooting for them!” Then, another fan asked more specifically if Leslie thought Will and Kyra knew each other before the show. “I love them together and truly believe it’s a genuine connection,” she started. “I was totally wrong to even entertain and share something I didn’t fully know about!”
Korey & Olivia
Last but not least, Leslie talked about how she felt about Korey Gandy and Olivia Kaiser before she quit Love Island. Leslie mentioned how she and Korey are moving in “opposite directions” in their lives right now. She explained: “Yes I have a wild streak, and he liked that, but outside of the villa I’m very goal and career-oriented and I’m looking for love and a family and a home. I just felt like I couldn’t give him the wild [spontaneity] he was looking for.” Leslie then revealed how shocked she felt when Korey picked her, as she was also rooting for him to couple up with Isabel Johnson. Nonetheless, she declared that she’s “very happy” for Korey and Olivia now that they’ve coupled up together.
