Love Is Blind star Natalie Lee is claiming that her ex from the show, Shayne Jansen, signed up for Netflix’s new show Perfect Match while they were still together. The two met on Love Is Blind season 2, and were one of the couples who got engaged. They moved out of the bubbles, and had a tumultuous relationship going forward. After breaking up at the end of the series, Natalie and Shayne did get back together for a brief time, and Natalie says that is when he accepted the opportunity.
Love Is Blind’s Natalie Lee shared a post to her Instagram story where she detailed her timeline of events. Natalie said she and Shayne were not publicly back together after Love Is Blind ended, so they were both approached by Netflix to sign up for the new show in September 2021.
“We each told each other we declined the opportunity,” she said, “I later found out he actually didn’t decline and started the casting process in November 2021.” Natalie said this was right before they broke up, but she was not aware of him joining the casting process at all.
Love Is Blind’s Shayne Has His Own Version Of Events
In an Instagram story countering Natalie’s timeline (reposted by People), Shayne shared his own message. His version of events claimed that Natalie did know about his decision and “with the new show coming out I figured ‘someone’ would try to once again destroy my character for personal gain.” Shayne had a rough time in the press after their season of Love Is Blind hit Netflix. With the recent passing of his mother, Shayne said how inappropriate it is for all of this drama to be getting stirred up and that he is simply “just done.”
Natalie and Shayne have had a rough relationship ever since they got engaged. Shayne had eyes for their fellow cast member Shaina Hurley on the show, and that was only the beginning of the rockiness. Despite their breakup and Shayne joining Perfect Match, Natalie has also claimed that he reached out to her during the filming process, and said that he missed her. She said that she had given up on the relationship already, so she encouraged Shayne to keep going with the process. The timeline of it all is hazy, but both reality TV stars are pretty set on their version of what happened between them.
Natalie and Shayne have shared texts and spread all sorts of conflicting rumors about one another, that it is hard to keep up and determine what is true.
