Love Is Blind 2: Where Was The Couples’ Retreat In Mexico Filmed?

Reality TV fans watching Love Is Blind season 2 are curious to find out where the couples’ retreat in Mexico was filmed. As seen in season 1, the couples that get engaged on Love Is Blind are sent on a trip to a couples’ retreat in Mexico after their time in the pods. This is their first opportunity to get to know one another physically and see if the emotional connection they formed in the pods can grow or stay the same after they also have the ability to get physical.

On Love Is Blind season 1, the six engaged couples went to a hotel called the Grand Velas Riviera Maya Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This was the place where a few major red flags between Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas started to show. In turn, this was when Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton deepened their connection as they got to know each other physically. This couples’ retreat was also a blast for Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett who couldn’t keep their hands off each other throughout the entire trip.

The engaged couples that make it past the pods on Love Is Blind season 2 will also be going to Mexico for their couples’ retreat, but their trip took place at a different hotel and location. As reported by Elite Daily, the couples’ retreat in season 2 was filmed at the TRS Coral Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. According to the resort’s official website, the TRS Coral Hotel has a total of 469 suites. Additional amenities in the property include “a 24-hour sports bar, as well as an exclusive swimming pool, spa, and gym. One private beach club, 7 à la carte restaurants, 1 show cooking restaurant, and 18 bars.”

Needless to say, the Love Is Blind season 2 couples had a blast during their first trip together. They got to visit a paradisiacal location in Mexico with all expenses paid by producers of the hit Netflix series. The TRS Cora Hotel is described as an “all-inclusive, adults-only” experience, which is perfect for new couples who find themselves honeymooning and getting to know each other on a trip. On TripAdvisor, the TRS Coral Hotel has a 4.5 (out of 5) rating from over 5,300 reviewers, which is very impressive. One of the biggest selling points of this hotel is that each room has either a balcony or a furnished terrace, so visitors aren’t just confined to the four walls within their respective guest rooms.

Anything can happen to these engaged couples once they’re out of the pods and meeting face-to-face in the real world. Quite a lot of drama from Love Is Blind season 1 took place during the couples’ retreat, and it surely wouldn’t be any different for season 2. Still, this was also an incredible opportunity for certain couples to fall for each other even more, so this trip isn’t always just about negativity and drama.

Love Is Blind season 2 airs Fridays at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Netflix.
