Lords Of The Fallen: How To Save The Petrified Woman

Lords Of The Fallen: How To Save The Petrified Woman

A cave within the Forsaken Fen area hosts a Petrified Woman, who you can save in The Lords of The Fallen as a small quest with multiple rewards. Abandoned by their ally, this woman has been left at the mercy of creatures that occupy both the Axiom and Umbral Realms. With no clear solution to help the woman trapped in stone, it can be confusing to figure out exactly what your character should do.

The closest fast travel location near the Petrified Woman is the Vestige of Valade, located in the wider Forsaken Fen area. This Vestige is found halfway in the region, long before you challenge the Hushed Saint boss in Lords of The Fallen. You will find the woman while exploring after you hear a series of humming noises as you get closer and closer to a cave that hosts the living statue of the NPC Kukajin.

How To Rescue The Petrified Woman in Lords of The Fallen

Lords Of The Fallen: How To Save The Petrified Woman

The Petrified Woman calls out to you as you enter the cave, explaining how she is a mercenary who traveled with a Sorcerer named Wilmarc, who cast the spell that put her in this state. According to her, the spell caster claimed that the petrifying spell would give her greater protection against enemy creatures. However, as soon as the magic failed, Wilmarc left Kukajin to suffer alone in the confines of the cave in Lords of The Fallen.

You need to use a Radiant spell on the Petrified Woman to save her while ensuring the magic you cast does not cause damage. Classes with a high Radiance Attribute, such as the Orian Preacher or Dark Crusader in Lords of The Fallen, have a better chance at using these types of spells from the start of the game. Casting the right magic breaks the stone from Kukajin, where she will be surprised at your use of spells.

Kukajin will give you a Pendant of Induration as thanks for saving her, giving you an item that increases your physical defense. The NPC will then move to the Hub back at Skyrest Bridge and can be summoned in certain boss battles later in your adventure. Go past where the statue was to collect another item, Wilmarc’s Catalyst, a Radiant magical focus with 4 Spell Slots that scale with your Radiance stat.

Those who save the Petrified Woman have an excellent chance to take down adamant bosses in The Lords of The Fallen by calling upon Kukajin’s Invoice, making this quest an important one to complete during your journey.

The Lords of the Fallen is a single-player/co-op Action-RPG set in a high fantasy setting, acting as a soft reboot of the original entry, Lords of the Fallen. Over a thousand years after the first game’s events, The Lords of the Fallen will set players in a massive world -one five times the size of the original – filled with NPC quests, dungeons, bosses, and other surprises that await. To navigate the lands between the living and the dead, players will fully customize their hero before embarking on the adventure. They can tackle the entire game solo or cooperatively with a friend online. The Lords of the Fallen emphasizes fast-action combat and a souls-like approach to world navigation. The release date hasn’t been set for the title, but it will be exclusively available on PC and next-generation consoles.
