Lord Of The Rings: 8 Characters That Fans Would Love To Date

The Lord of the Rings has had legions of fans for decades now, and each fan has their own unique feelings about the story and the characters. Some fans love the characters with interesting backstories, while others love the most heroic characters. However, even some of the best characters from the story aren’t necessarily ones fans would like to get to know.

Some of the fascinating characters, such as Galadriel, would be rather intimidating to spend time with and might be hard to relate to, while others, like some of the Hobbits, would be easy to go out with on a Saturday night.

Rosie Cotton

Lord Of The Rings: 8 Characters That Fans Would Love To Date

While there sadly aren’t that many female characters in the trilogy, Rosie is one of the women who seems like she would be super fun to get to know.

For one thing, she works at The Green Dragon, so she could have a great in for a place to spend an evening that has delicious food and ale. She also loves to dance and laugh, so she would be great to go out with for a weekend of fun.

Faramir

Faramir looking to the distance in Lord of the Rings

Faramir is another character that fans really love, and it has a lot to do with his personality. In the books, he’s even truer of heart as he never actually takes Sam and Frodo to Gondor at all and wants nothing to do with the Ring, but even the movie version is still very compassionate and good.

Faramir is more relatable than some of the other more confident warriors, and he seems like someone a person could really trust and rely on.

Legolas

Orlando Bloom as Legolas Greenleaf from The Lord of the Rings Forest

Legolas might seem like he’s a bit reserved at first, but he actually is rather warm and even has a good sense of humor. He is very loyal to his friends, and he will do anything for them. And, he’s always up for a good contest, whether it’s a drinking game or seeing who is the best in combat, which could make for a fun, competitive date.

Plus, he knows a lot about elf lore and about Middle-Earth, so fans could learn a lot from him. And, while most fans would like to hang out with elves, some of them are really intimidating. Legolas is the most down-to-earth compared to the other elven lords and ladies in the story.

Gimli

Gimli is one of the Fellowship members that many fans would love to be close with because he’s just so hilarious and likable. While he can be a bit gruff at times, he’s got a great sense of humor, and you’d always be laughing and bantering with one another.

He’s very loyal to the people he cares about, and he would be a lot of fun to tease. He would definitely drink you under the table, but going out to a bar with him would be fantastic. Plus, the way he speaks his mind is rather refreshing.

Eowyn

Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings

Of the female character in The Lord of the Rings, Eowyn is the one that most fans find really relatable. While she might be going through a lot when fans see her in the series and is holding much sadness, she’s also very fierce and protective. She struggles to be herself around people telling her she can’t fight because she’s a woman, and many other women can relate to these feelings.

She’s compassionate and brave and would make a great companion for an evening. A person could always count on her, and she would be a good friend to talk to when having problems. She’s also a total badass.

Aragorn

Like Eowyn, Aragorn is another character many fans would love to date mainly because he’s just such a good person. While he can be funny and have a good time, he’s generally more serious in nature than most of the other characters on this list.

However, he’s extremely loyal, brave, and true. A person could always trust him to look out for them, and he would be there for them through thick and thin.

Merry or Pippin

Merry or Pippin would make for the perfect companion for an evening for people who love getting up to a little innocent trouble.

Most fans can agree that Merry And Pippin are lovable, and who wouldn’t want to join one or the other of them at The Green Dragon? You’d likely sing a jovial song, dance along, and end the night with stealing some of Gandalf’s fireworks. Plus, these hobbits know where to find a delicious meal.

Samwise Gamgee

Sam is definitely the character most fans would love to go on a date with for many reasons. Firstly, he’s true of heart and possibly the bravest person in the series. He would do anything for you once he cares about you, and he would likely go the extra mile to do nice things.

Plus, he’s also very easygoing in general and would probably enjoy doing relaxing things with you like eating a good meal or sitting outside in the garden.
