Long-Awaited Masters Of The Universe Movie Zeroes In On Bumblebee Director

After a lengthy search, the Masters of the Universe movie may have finally found its director, as Bumblebee‘s Travis Knight emerges as a frontrunner to bring Eternia back to the big screen. The Mattel franchise detailed the epic, bright, and nostalgic battles between He-Man, and the villainous Skeletor alongside their various colorful casts of allies. While the franchise has found recent success through various animated series, attempts to bring the toyline back to theaters have been a lengthy uphill battle tracing back to 2007.

Despite Netflix cancelling their Masters of the Universe movie in 2023 amidst mounting costs, Deadline reports that the project may be progressing once more. It is reported Knight has been eyed for the directing role by Amazon MGM studios. Knight helped revitalize the Transformers franchise through 2018’s soft reboot, Bumblebee.
