Lindsay Lohan’s rom-com Irish Wish makes it to the Netflix Global Top 10. Irish Wish surrounds the story of a woman named Maddie, who is attending the wedding of her best friend, who is engaged to the secret love of her life. When Maddie wishes for things to be different, she winds up in an unintended situation as her fantasies magically become reality. In addition to Lohan, Irish Wish features a leading cast including Elizabeth Tan, Ayesha Curry, Alexander Vlahos, and Ed Speleers.
Now, Irish Wish has made its way onto the Netflix Global Top 10. Irish Wish came in no. 2 on the chart for the week of March 11–March 17, raking in 19.5 million views. Coming in no. 1 on the charts this week was the Millie Bobby Brown adventure film Damsel, which got 50.8 million views.
Irish Wish Is Part of Lindsey Lohan’s Renaissance
Beginning as a child actress, Lohan saw the height of her career in the late ‘90s and early 2000s. Catapulting her to fame was the 1998 film The Parent Trap, wherein she played estranged twins Hallie and Annie. Following this role, notable Lohan titles in this era include the remake of Freaky Friday and 2004’s Mean Girls.
After this initial success, Lohan’s career experienced a significant lull throughout the 2010s. She broke this trend when she acted in the Netflix feature film Falling for Christmas in 2022. This was the first film in a two-film deal that Lohan made with Netflix, the second of which being Irish Wish. Later this year, Lohan will team up with Netflix again to act in the Christmas comedy Our Little Secret.
