Life After Lockup: Brittany Earned Money In Prison Talking About Belly Buttons

Brittany Dodd from Life After Lockup has changed her life for the better since being released from prison, and now the wife and mother of three is opening up about some of the odds ways she used to make money while in the slammer.

Brittany rose to fame through her appearance on Love After Lockup season 2. Her love story with her husband Marcelino Santiago made them fan favorites among the show’s drama-filled couples. The two met via a prison penpal program during Brittany’s second stint in prison. Brittany landed in prison for the first time at age 18, following a rough childhood. Due to addiction, Brittany returned to prison for the second and final time. Since her 2018 prison release, Brittany has successfully completed her probation and expanded her family with Marcelino. Now, as a new and improved wife, mother, and reality star, the former convict is sharing some of her prison experiences.

During an exclusive interview with ScreenRant, Brittany shared that she talked with different men while on the inside. “There was this one guy, I call him Belly Button Lee,” Brittany revealed while laughing. “He had a weird fetish with belly buttons. He would literally put money on my books to talk about belly buttons with him, and so that’s what I did.” It turns out that inmates have a way of getting in contact with people who want to explore their fantasies. “That’s the kind of relationship that we had,” she added while speaking about whether she took advantage of Belly Button Lee or not.

“Did I use him? No,” she remarked. “He wanted to talk about belly buttons, and I wanted money. There was an exchange, I guess.” Considering her situation at the time, it’s more than understandable that she participated in the strange calls. However, she didn’t get much enjoyment on her end. “He was such a creepo,” Brittany quipped. “He was like, “when you come home, I’m gonna do naval inspections on you everyday.” And I was like, “Oh, what?!” Okay…” Now, the Life After Lockup star is living in her brand-new house with her husband, children, and two dogs, and she no longer indulges fetishes by having weird phone conversations. Marcelino provided for the family through his work as a professional poker player.

Brittany has previously shared how hard it can be for convicted felons to find a job post-prison. But, the Life After Lockup celeb recently released her memoir and also earns money through her TV appearances.
