LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – How to Feed the Varactyls in Pau City

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – How to Feed the Varactyls in Pau City

Feeding Varactyls is one of the side activities that can be completed while exploring Pau City in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Once Utapau is unlocked in Free Play, players will be able to complete a variety of puzzles and side missions, including helping the Varactyl Keeper deliver crates of food to hungry creatures. There are six crates that need to be given to three Varactyls.

As with any of the game’s locations across the galaxy, Pau City needs to be unlocked by playing through story missions. Utapau is visited during the second mission in Revenge of the Sith. Players will need to defeat General Grievous in this mission, and Utapau will be available to explore upon completing it. Once Utapau is unlocked in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, players can fly to Pau City to feed the Varactyls.

From the landing zone, players can head to the left until reaching the edge of the platform. Across the gap, there’s a lift and an NPC who gives the mission to feed the Varactyls. The hungry creatures are on the lower platform across from the quest-giver. The Varactyls will continuously cry out until all the food has been delivered, so completing this Pau City mission first will eliminate some background noise while exploring the area.

Where To Find Varactyl Food Crates In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

There are six food crates in total to place in empty slots in front of the three Varactyls. The left one gets two food crates, the middle gets one, and the Varactyl on the right gets three. There are already three food crates in the same area as the Varactyls, so they just need to be placed in any of the empty slots. There’s another crate next to the NPC that gives the quest, and this one can be delivered by a character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga that can use the Force.

The last two crates are beneath the Varactyl feeding area and can be obtained using the lift next to the quest-giver. The box near the lift can be broken to get the pieces needed to build a handle. One character will need to lower the lift using the handle, and another can use the Force to put the crates onto the lift. Both crates can be stacked onto the lift at once, then the handle can be released. The last two crates can then be retrieved from the lift and delivered to the Varactyls. After devouring their food, the Varactyls will spit out pieces for a Kyber Brick, and players will need to build it.

The reward for finishing the mission is one Kyber Brick, which can be used to upgrade skills in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. However, skills cost a minimum of four Kyber Bricks to unlock, so other challenges will need to be completed as well. At least 10,000 Studs will also be needed to unlock new core or class skills. Feeding the three Varactyls is one of many activities with Kyber Brick rewards that players can find while exploring Pau City in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
