Lego Masters: The 10 Most Popular Contestants, Ranked By Instagram Followers

LEGO Masters recently aired a special edition episode from their season 3 in honor of it being themed after the new Jurassic World: Dominion movie. While the new season has been delayed until further notice, many fans were quite impressed by the skills and talents of the contestants, taking to social media platforms to learn more about them.

Finding the new cast on Instagram to see what they will bring to the table is always interesting, and it can be nice to take a moment and see what the past contestants are up to as well. Many of them have become really popular and their fan base keeps growing as they continue being creative on their Instagram accounts.

Samuel Hatmaker – 9,022

One of the season-one contestants that came in third place overall, Samuel Hatmaker, made a lasting impression on fans. His unique personality and positive persona left fans rooting for him and his partner on the show, Jessica until the very end.

On the show and off, Sam has been using his art skills to help his LEGO making stand out. He is rather active on his Instagram, samuelhatmaker, posting about his LEGO workshops and places his art is being shown. Sam is also trying to design a logo for his brand as new things are coming for his fans and followers.

Dave Kaleta – 10.1k

Season two of LEGO Masters had more contestants than season one, and Dave Kaleta was one of those contestants. As are all the contestants on the show, Dave is a LEGO enthusiast.

Dave’s Instagram, davekaleta, is a place where his true colors are shown through LEGOs. He feels very strongly about topics like social justice, environmentalism, and cultural pride. He and his LEGO Masters partner Richard, announced on Instagram that they are working to put together a series (using LEGOs of course) to bring awareness to all these topics. Their Instagram pages are filled with beautiful LEGO pieces that display a different person each week. Having had many of the best builds from season two, the two are bound to come up with some creative ideas to convey the messages they want perfectly.

Flynn De Marco & Richard Board – 12.1k

Flynn De Marco and Richard Board were only one of two married couples on season one of Lego Masters. The couple created some great builds including their Clockwork Man, one of the most creative pieces from season one of the show.

The couple seems to share an Instagram account called trickybricks, although Flynn seems to be the primary host of the account, which shows off all things Lego, Star Wars, and nerd that they take part in. They also have a Youtube channel with the same name, where they talk with their friends about all things related to Lego, with new live videos being released weekly. Flynn has even taken on cosplaying as a pink Mandalorian and had created an Instagram page set up entirely for that character.

Mark Cruickshank – 16.3k

The Bearded Builders was a fan-favorite team throughout all of season one. Mark Cruikshank and Boone Langston had some of the most creative builds, and either won or were safe every episode until they came in second place in the whole competition. Mark was a delight on the show and always helped come up with big ideas.

His Instagram, mecruickshank, is a good combination of LEGO shots as well as some of his day-to-day happenings. He is still very active in building giant displays and competing, as well as meeting up with Boone and just enjoying new LEGOs. The runner-up is still making plenty of things, and enjoying life to the fullest as there never seems to be anything except for a big smile on his face.

Tyler Clites – 18.7k

The winner of season one Tyler Clites, and his wife Amy, have been big into LEGO way before they were on the show. His Instagram, tylerbuilds, has professional-looking shots of previous builds he has made before and after the show.

While he isn’t the most active on his social media, he recently posted announcing that that is due to him spending time with his son, and preparing for the baby girl him and his wife are expecting soon. As the winners of LEGO Masters, it can only be expected that their kids will love LEGOs as much as they do and will also become great builders. There is a post of their son Timothy playing with them before he is even one year old.

Amie Danielle Dansby – 21.1k

While many of the contestants on LEGO Masters are really into LEGOs, some of them also have other hobbies that they are really into. For Amie Dansby, its cosplay.

Amie’s Instagram, amiedoubled, is filled to the brim with photos, videos, and concept art of the cosplays she has done. There is also a good amount of LEGO content in there as well, but it is clear that cosplay is where she shines. In her recent photos, she has found a way to incorporate some LEGO figurines into her outfits, which adds a unique twist to her costumes.

Aaron Newman – 29.1k

Some of the contestants come into the show with some real experience, like Aaron Newman who was a LEGO educator at the time. His hands-on experience with working with both the building bricks and the company might have given him a leg-up in the competition, but ultimately he ended up getting sent home.

That didn’t stop Aaron from pursuing his LEGO dreams. As if working on a show that was one big ad for LEGO wasn’t enough, in November of 2021, he got promoted to LEGO Product Designer, which he announced on Instagram. As he has not been super active on his Instagram, aaronbrickdesigner, since his promotion, many of the Lego sets he built, or helped build, can be seen on his previous posts.

Jessica Ewud – 29.2k

Sam’s partner in the show was Jessica Ewud, and the two went through some tough times as they were in the bottom a few times, but they made it all the way to the finale where they came in third. The pair is most known for the peacock piece they made, and Jessica is still making pieces like that.

She recently made some big LEGO pieces like a bear, and her version of Pandora’s box which can be seen on her Instagram, ragzyart. The artist is expressing herself in many different ways, but she still is making elaborate LEGO builds. Jessica is showing her growth after the show regularly on her social media.

Boone Langston – 36.6k

The other bearded man that was a part of the Bearded Builders was Boone Langston. He also always had a smile on his face and helped make some of the most unique builds on the show.

Since the conclusion of LEGO Masters season one, Boone has only dove more into the Lego waters. He has had customer LEGO figurines made after him, and constantly puts together new builds which he posts on his Instagram, boonebuilds. Boone has been keeping active by having a YouTube channel, a podcast, and hanging out with his friend Mark and other season one LEGO Masters contestants to collaborate.

Krystle Starr – 74.5k

One of the most followed contestants from LEGO Masters is Krystle Starr. Her Instagram page, krystlestarrx, is filled less with LEGO content and more with her cosplaying outfits.

From the show, she is most well-known for her Harley Quinn hair. Her unique, bubbly personality added a little something extra to the show. She hasn’t given up on LEGO, but her focus had primarily been on her art and her outfits that she makes. Her flair is still heavily related to all nerdy things like Star Wars, DC, and other well-known franchises.
