Legend of Drizzt Characters That Need To Be In D&D: Dark Alliance

Legend of Drizzt Characters That Need To Be In D&D: Dark Alliance

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is an upcoming action RPG that will feature some of the iconic characters from the Legend of Drizzt novels. Dark Alliance will star four characters from the books, but there are plenty more that deserve to appear in the game.

The four playable characters in Dark Alliance are known as the Companions of the Hall, as they originally joined together in search of a lost Dwarven city, known as Mithral Hall, during the Icewind Dale trilogy of novels. Players can choose from Drizzt Do’Urden, who fights with twin scimitars; Bruenor Battlehammer, who uses an axe and shield in combat; Catti-brie, who slays enemies with arrows from her magical bow; and Wulfgar, who launches the mighty Aegis-fang warhammer at his foes. These have appeared throughout the Legend of Drizzt books and have even shown up in other D&D games in the past. The player could encounter the Companions of the Hall in Baldur’s Gate 2 and even call on their aid to help fight vampires in the city of Athkatla.

When choosing characters from the Legend of Drizzt books to appear in a video game, the four picked for Dark Alliance all seem like the most natural fit for an action title. However, there are other characters from the Legend of Drizzt series that deserve to appear in the game, either as enemies, allies, or even playable characters.

D&D: Dark Alliance Character Who Should Appear – Artemis Entreri

Legend of Drizzt Characters That Need To Be In D&D: Dark Alliance

Artemis Entreri was Drizzt’s main foe throughout a lot of the early books. He was one of the few people who could equal Drizzt in combat skill, but the two were opposites in terms of their personalities. Entreri was a cold-hearted killer, who had no problem torturing victims and taking hostages if it meant getting close to his target. Drizzt battled Entreri many times throughout the books, and the two were even reluctant allies when facing the horrors of the Underdark. Entreri is arguably Drizzt’s most famous enemy, and he will almost certainly show up as a boss in Dark Alliance. If he doesn’t, then he’s a strong candidate for a new playable character in post-launch DLC.

D&D: Dark Alliance Character Who Should Appear – Regis

Regis Dungeons & Dragons Legends of Drizzt

Poor Regis was one of the original members of the Companions of the Hall from the Drizzt novelsThe developers seem to have made the not-so-difficult choice of benching him for Catti-brie. Regis is an overweight halfling whose gimmick is charming enemies with a magic gem, so the decision makes total sense when planning out characters for an action game. Despite this, Regis deserves a cameo in Dark Alliance, even if he’s not a playable character. He’s one of the main characters in The Icewind Dale Trilogy and should at least show up to support his friends in their next video game outing.

D&D: Dark Alliance Character Who Should Appear – Jarlaxle

Jarlaxle Dungeons & Dragons Legends of Drizzt

The drow of the city of Menzoberranzan rarely ventured to the surface. This is partly due to the stigma that drow faced for a long time, which made it dangerous for them to travel without disguising their appearance. Jarlaxle was one of the few drow who not only survived on the surface but thrived. He was once the leader of a powerful band of mercenaries in Menzoberranzan, but he gave up his position to become an adventurer on the surface. Jarlaxle is known for this audacious style of clothing and his charming manner. He’s a schemer and an information-broker, who has encountered Drizzt as both an ally and enemy. Like Entreri, Jarlaxle is a strong contender for being both a boss in the story mode and a playable character in a future update for Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance.
