Leave the World Behind has garnered much success since its release, and it serves as a reminder to watch an award-winning show that ended four years ago. Produced by Higher Ground Studios, which is run by Barack and Michelle Obama, Leave the World Behind is a thrilling dystopian tale based on a book of the same name. It follows the story of two families whose vacations are disrupted by a blackout that becomes a complete catastrophe. The movie serves as a commentary on humanity and its reliance on escapism and utilizes an apocalyptic backdrop to convey its key messages.
Though the movie serves as a warning about using entertainment to escape from the chaos of the real world, it is natural to become attached to certain projects and seek out similar ones. Leave the World Behind has a satisfying ending but because of how interesting its subject matter is, there is more to be desired. While there is no confirmation as to whether or not there will be a sequel to the film, there is a similar show to enjoy in the meantime.
