Law & Order season 23 is losing a major cast member due to “creative reasons” behind the scenes. The long-running procedural and legal drama was revived for season 21 in February 2022, following the series originally ending in 2010. Since then, the show has found new life in its return, with season 23 expected to air in early 2024.
However, TVLine reports that Jeffrey Donovan, who has portrayed Detective Frank Cosgrove since season 21, will not be returning for Law & Order season 23. The decision was made based on “creative reasons,” with a search now being conducted for someone who can take his place. NBC and Donovan have yet to comment on the split as of writing.
