Running in the same circles makes it more likely that you’ll run into an ex, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ Scott Disick and Sofia Richie are finding that out the hard way. The former couple reportedly bumped into each other while at Kendall Jenner’s Halloween birthday party. This is the second time they have been spotted at the same function since calling it quits back in August.
Scott and Sofia split “for good” over the summer after a brief reconciliation following their initial breakup in May. The two had been at odds following Scott’s rehab stint in April. After their second breakup in August, there were mixed reports around what led to the split. It was said Sofia ended things after realizing how different their lifestyles were and reportedly not wanting to be a stepmom to his three children with his ex, Kourtney Kardashian. However, there were also reports that Scott called things off because he wanted to focus more on his health and family. Whatever the exact reason was, they let fans know their breakup was official when Scott began going on public date nights with other women and Sofia hit him with the unfollow button.
Since Scott and Sofia are both pretty popular celebs living in Hollywood, they are bound to run into each other from time to time. They had their first run-in back in September at Nobu, where Sofia was with friends and Scott enjoyed dinner with Kourtney. Yes…awkward. But, with them both being so close to Kendall, their second run-in happened on Halloween at the supermodel’s 25th birthday party. “Sofia is still friends with Kylie, with Kendall, and with countless of other people that are friends with Scott as well,” a source told Hollywood Life. “They have hung in the same social circles forever and so that does not just go away just because they broke up.”
According to the insider, the young socialite was unphased by seeing her ex. “Sofia is mature and knows how to handle herself, and isn’t worried about running into Scott” the insider claimed. “She’s not the type of person to avoid social situations because an ex may or may not be there.” Last month, Sofia went public with her new boyfriend, Matthew Morton. Fans have been supportive of her more age-appropriate relationship after dating Scott for three years despite their 19-year age gap.
Since she is happy in her new romance, sources say Sofia is super cool with bumping into Scott. “She and Scott have no bad blood between them,” the source explained. “Things just didn’t work out and they’ve gone their separate ways, but she has no issues with seeing him in any setting. There’s no awkwardness on her end.” Way to go Sofia – living life on her own terms.
