TikTok star, That Girl Lay Lay, is accusing Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian of asking her to take down a TikTok video she posted of herself and North. Kim and Kanye have always tried to protect the privacy of their children. Unlike with Kourtney’s children, when Kim’s four children were born, cameras were not invited into the delivery room. Kim has also kept her kids away from the cameras. The restrictions on filming with her kids were lifted after a while, but they were still featured way less than the kids of her siblings. At the time, Kim explained it wasn’t something they felt was right, but as time went on, she realized she wanted her kids there while filming.
Kim has previously talked about rules she and Kourtney have in place for when their kids are featured on the show. She explained that any time the kids are filmed, Kanye has to approve whether or not it can go on air. She says this rule even extends to her Instagram, and how often she posts pictures of their kids. Kourtney also has rules about filming her children. While they were heavily featured as toddlers, Kourtney’s kids seem to come in and out of seasons later on in the show.
TikToker That Girl Lay Lay is now claiming Kim asked her to take down a video she posted on her TikTok of her and North dancing. As In Touch Weekly reports, Lay Lay claims Kim texted her to take down the video, and she has no idea why. In her version of events, she is confused as to why Kim would ask her to take the video down, since she was the one who invited her to her house. Lay Lay expressed her frustration for being asked to take the video down, while trashing the whole entertainment industry at the same time. She slammed the industry, and said all she is trying to do is create and spread positive music. She also wishes Kim gave her a reason as to why the video had to come down, especially since it’s been over a year since it was filmed.
The CMO of Kim’s makeup brand, Tracy Romulus, commented on Lay Lay’s post in order to clear some things up. In the comment, Tracy said the 14-year-old TikToker never spoke directly to Kim, and was invited to the house for a private playdate with North, who is a big fan of hers. She further explains that she explained to Lay Lay’s father that she was not to post any footage from the playdate on social media. Tracy also claims that Kim and Kanye allowed Lay Lay to post one TikTok taken that day, after they watched and approved it, but were unaware of the other ones they had filmed. She ended her comment by stating North is only eight years old and Kim and Kanye are well within their rights to police North’s social media presence.
It’s already been established that Kim and Kanye are overprotective about their children’s social media presence. With this in mind, everyone is asking when North will be able to get into social media. It’s already been said that she and her older cousins are aware that their family is famous due to Keeping Up With The Kardashians, so it may only a matter of time before they become influencers. The next generation of Kardashian influencers is coming, and the question is when will they land.
