KUWTK: Kim Kardashian Gets Grilled By David Letterman For Trump Support

Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West is set to appear in an interview with David Letterman on his show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on Netflix. During the interview, the show host would press the beauty mogul about her association with President Donald Trump.

The 39-year-old reality TV star will appear on season 3 of Netflix’s talk show. In season one of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, former President Barack Obama was one of the show guests. In season 2, David invited Kim’s husband, Kanye West, and during the interview, the musician admitted that he never voted. Now, the world’s one of the richest women takes the seat with David. Kim’s sisters, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, mother, Kris Jenner, and husband, Kanye, were seated in the audience. The show host delved into all the important topics linked to the fashionista’s life.

According to The Daily Beast, David asked Kim questions about her working with The White House on clemencies. The mother of four affirmed, “Hopefully, for the next multiple administrations, I’ll be working with the White House, helping them with clemencies.” In 2018, Kim met Trump to commute Alice Johnson’s sentence, a Black woman who served 21 years for a nonviolent drug offense. David further probed, “But do you feel that what is being done on behalf of sentencing reform now via this current administration in any way allows the balance of democracy back in a corridor of viability?” Honestly, the question was a little difficult to comprehend, and Kim rightly said, “Well, I have no idea what you just said.” The host rephrased, “I’m grateful for what you’re doing, but it doesn’t make me feel any better about the current administration.” While refusing to criticize Trump, Kim simply said, “I understand that.

When asked about who she is planning to vote for, the E! star said, “I know who I’m voting for.” She then tells David about the warnings she received before visiting the White House. She said, “Trust me, everyone called me and said, ‘Don’t you dare step foot in that White House or your reputation is done.’” David encouraged Kim, “But see, your good work is overwhelming.” He further added, “It’s a positive force that diminishes what I consider to be unacceptable behavior by the president.” But Kanye’s wife avoided commenting on any “unacceptable behavior.” She said that she is “extremely grateful” for the administration’s work on criminal justice reform and will “stay focused” on how she can assist.

The 73-year-old host also asked the SKIMS founder about other significant events that happened in her life. She opened about the O.J. Simpson trial and how it “tore” her family part. David also probed the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star about her infamous Paris robbery in October 2016 when she thought she was about to be assaulted or killed.
