Tristan and Maralee first made headlines late last year after she revealed she was pregnant and filed a paternity lawsuit against the NBA player. When Tristan and Maralee’s highly publicized court battle initially surfaced, the basketball star denied having an affair with the model and instead claimed they had a one-night stand that could have resulted in her pregnancy. When the paternity test result was released, it confirmed that Tristan is indeed the father of Maralee’s baby. Following the confirmation, Tristan has owned up to his actions. He posted a note on social media in which he apologized to Khloe, with whom he shares a daughter, True. In the note, Tristan apologized for causing Khloe “heartache and humiliation.” He also said the Good American CEO does not deserve the consequences his actions have brought her. Tristan admitted that his actions have not lined up with how he views Khloe and said he was incredibly sorry.
Meanwhile, amid Tristan’s paternity confirmation and public apology, a source close to the Kardashians told HollywoodLife how Khloe feels about her ex’s words. According to the source, Khloe is glad to see that Tristan took full responsibility for his actions and “owned up” to being the father of Maralee’s son. However, the source added, “It was the right thing to do, but Khloe wishes he would have left it at that. Khloe does not care about his apology because his words mean nothing to her anymore. She can’t trust him, and she will never be able to trust him again.”
The insider went on to say that Khloe’s humiliating days caused by Tristan are over, and she won’t be shedding another tear for the basketball star. All the reality star cares about now is the well-being of her daughter, True, and seeing that the little girl has a good relationship with her dad. Another source also noted that Khloe is focusing on herself and True as she has been hurt enough by Tristan’s infidelity scandals. The source confirmed that Khloe will never keep True away from her dad, despite all he has put them through, because she understands how important that relationship is to a child.
Tristan can apologize for his wrongdoings all he wants, but Khloe isn’t going to listen to his words as she feels humiliated enough by him.
