KUWTK: Khloe Criticized For Insensitive IG Pics Amid Astroworld Tragedy

Khloe Kardashian, of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is being dragged online for posting sexy pictures of herself on Instagram amid the Astroworld tragedy. This is not the first time Khloe has been called out for the pictures she’s posted on social media. Fans are always commenting on Khloe’s constant and excessive use of the editing app Facetune when it comes to posting on Instagram. They claim her face in her social media pictures looks very different from her face in real life. Most recently, Khloe was criticized for threatening to sue Instagram account holders who refused to delete an unedited picture of her in a bikini. Fans were upset with her for perpetuating an unattainable standard of beauty and implying that one’s natural appearance is not good enough.

One thing fans can’t hate on Khloe for is her commitment to her family and being a good mother. Khloe recently spoke out about why she had an issue with people referring to her daughter True Thompson as a big kid. She explained that she always will correct whoever made the statement and enforce the idea that her daughter is simply tall for her age, not big. Khloe explained that she was always referred to as the big one among her sisters, she developed a bad relationship with food. She doesn’t want True to misunderstand what people mean when they call her big, because she doesn’t want her growing up with the same insecurities about her body.

Khloe is now facing backlash for posting sexy pictures of herself on social media so soon after the Astroworld tragedy. As reported by Page Six, many of her Instagram followers have taken issue with Khloe’s decision to post those pictures amid such a sad time. Due to Khloe’s close relationship with Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, fans felt she should have been more sensitive to what happened, and maybe address the victims and their families. One commenter said she should “read the room” considering one of the victims of the tragedy was buried the day before the photos were posted. Another called her tone-deaf while another suggested the family maybe take a week or so off from posting this type of content. Others accused her of not caring about the tragic loss of lives and living in a world in which the only thing that matters is Instagram.

News broke the morning of Sunday, November 7 that Travis’ Astroworld festival ended in the death of eight people, with over 300 concertgoers injured and some in critical condition. Many are angry with Travis for continuing to perform, even finishing his planned set, even after police had labeled his concert a mass casualty event. He is now involved in two separate lawsuits and investigations trying to decipher what led to the mad rush to the stage leading concertgoers unable to move or breathe. Kylie claims Travis didn’t know what was going on, and Travis has since agreed to pay for the funeral expenses of all the victims.

Are fans right to be upset with Khloe for her choice to post thirst traps only a few days after a tragedy involving her family members? Kim Kardashian, Kylie, and Kendall Jenner have all released statements about how heartbroken they are for the victims. Would the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star have been given a pass for posting these photos if she had posted a tribute to the victims of the concert first? There is no way to know, but if anything is certain, is that the Kardashians can bounce back from just about any scandal.
