Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian might be planning her outfit for Kanye West’s second listening party for his Donda album. The rap/fashion mogul appears to be going full force with promotion for his highly-anticipated album by hosting a series of massive listening parties. Two weeks ago, Kanye took to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta to share a tracklist of songs that may or may not make the final version of the album. Kanye and Kim wore matching-colored outfits as she sat front row with their four children to support the rap superstar.
Named after Kanye’s late mother Donda West, his upcoming album is one hip hop fans have been waiting years for. Considering all that Kanye has been through since he last released a full solo rap album, many are anxious to hear what type of sound Kanye produces this time around. From the first listening party, Kanye expressed his emotion when a song that touched on his divorce from Kim played for the crowd. Kanye fell to his knees while “I’m losing my family” was heard playing in the background. Kanye didn’t shy away from teasing his latest Yeezy threads at the show. He was decked out in Yeezy from head to toe, along with his new signature face mask.
Kanye was so inspired by the event that he decided to temporarily move inside the stadium until he finished his album. Now, ahead of its scheduled August 5 release, Kanye is reportedly planning a second listening party. Kanye kicked off the weekend by sharing a post on his Instagram page with the date August 5 on it. It was Kanye’s way of announcing his second listening party on that day scheduled for 9:00 pm EST. Tickets went on sale Monday morning and are expected to sell fast, just like the first listening party did. It will be held at Mercedes-Benz Theater once again, where Kanye has been residing since his first massive listening party two weeks ago.
This time around, the event will be creative directed by Demna Gvasalia and is expected to be a bit elevated from his last listening party where fans watched him walk around the stadium while the album blasted through the speakers. It included an eye-catching light show that played off of what Kanye was wearing and the mood of each song. Many were elated to hear the number of guest features which include collaborations with Jay-Z, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Pusha T and more. His song with Jay Z received widespread fanfare as the two rappers had fallen out in recent years due to Kanye’s public support for Donald Trump’s presidency.
There were some fans who speculated on if Kanye would really be releasing his album on the expected date after it was pushed back from its original July 23 release. But after hosting his listening party on July 22 and sharing tracks where verses were reportedly sent in just hours before the show, Kanye knew he needed to give himself more time to perfect the highly-anticipated project. Kanye has new music and new fashion to showcase to the world and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is sticking by his side through it all despite their ongoing divorce proceedings.
