Julia Fox denied claims of dating Kanye West as a publicity stunt amid his divorce from Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ Kim Kardashian. Kanye and Julia have been pulling out all the stops amid their budding romance. The model/actress has done public photo shoots with Kanye, gushed about their NYC date night in a blog post and even kissed the rap/fashion mogul in public in the last few weeks. But Julia insists it’s not to make Kim jealous. Julia claims that what she has with Kanye is the real deal.
The Uncut Gems star recently dished on her NYC date night with Kanye that included a viewing of Slave Play, dinner at Carbone and a hotel room filled with luxury clothes. Julia shared all the details in a blog post for Interview magazine. Sources said Julia is Kanye’s new “muse” and he’s only publicly dating her in an attempt to get Kim’s attention. With the SKIMS founder being more public with Pete Davidson, her ex-husband is said to be jealous because he wants her back. If Kanye is only dating Julia to get back at Kim, the model appears to be going along with it.
Julia recently took to her Forbidden Fruits podcast to shut down claims of her and Kanye’s romance being a publicity stunt. “There’s always people that think every single celebrity scandal is a setup. I personally don’t,” Julia said. She explained how her and Kanye’s inner circle of friends felt like it was only a matter of time before they struck a match. The model shared how their mutual friends “have texted me like, ‘Oh my god, this makes so much sense.’” But the 31-year-old said she and Kanye are taking their time with putting a label on their relationship. For now, they’re just having fun. “Listen, for right now, I’m just living in the moment, and I don’t have any expectations. There’s no labels, none of that,” Julia revealed, noting that she and Kanye are “just people that make each other feel better.”
Julia spoke of her fanship of the KUWTK family as well as her history with Pete for their 2019 Paper magazine cover. Julia said it’s “all love” and “really not that serious,” when it comes to the six degrees of separation between the two couples. “But it is funny to see where people go with their conspiracy theories,” she continued. “I love the Paper magazine cover of me and Pete, that shoot that we did, and we’re the Barbie dolls.” Fans have referenced the irony in the cover using the term “Break The Internet,” which was first coined during Kim’s infamous 2014 Paper magazine cover. Many think Kanye strategically chose to date Julia to get under Kim and Pete’s skin.
But Kim and Pete are clearly unbothered. They recently enjoyed their first romantic getaway together. The couple jetted off to the Bahamas to a location that angered Kanye since it was the same place where he and Kim celebrated his 40th birthday. Julia is being supportive of Kanye and helping him convince fans that he’s over Kim. Julia is seemingly enjoying the added attention, considering she’s speaking about her new romance in magazines and podcasts. With the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars’ new Hulu show on the horizon, fans are hoping Kim opens up about her divorce from Kanye.
