Kourtney Kardashian was recently dragged on social media for saying she is going to miss Keeping Up With The Kardashians once it ends in 2021.
The long-running KUWTK reality series premiered back in 2007. The show was greenlit by E! just a few months after Kim Kardashian’s infamous sex tape leaked. Since then, the Kardashian-Jenner family members have created a multimedia empire that includes makeup/skincare brands, clothing lines, among other business endeavors. Not only has the show entertained fans for more than a decade, but has given this generation the most influential women of our time.
As reported by BuzzFeed, Kourtney Kardashian recently got nostalgic about Keeping Up With The Kardashians coming to an end and posted a series of photos with the caption, “I’m gonna miss our @kuwtk photo shoots“. Fans on her Instagram page were quick to point out that the 41-year-old had quit the show just months ago, and that she was likely one of the bigger reasons for the series’ abrupt ending. “You legit wanted to quit though,” one fan commented. “Really? “Didn’t you quit because it was all too much for you?” said another. A follower then said, “Now she’s complaining about missing KUWTK shoots, when you wanted to stop filming. Girl bye.” And the comments did not stop there – the post was filled with angry fans questioning Kourtney’s nostalgia towards the ending of KUWTK. During season 18, Kourtney was constantly complaining about having to film for the show. One episode from that season showed even featured Khloé and Kim confronting Kourtney, along with the rest of the production crew, to discuss the future of the show.
Kim Kardashian even revealed that she was unsure about the future of KUWTK if all her family members weren’t committed to it. Overall, it seemed like the sisters believed that Kourtney’s refusal to share her life on camera was destroying the show. Shortly after that episode, E! announced the ending of KUWTK in 2021. The matriarch of the family, Kris Jenner, appears to still be processing the news that their beloved show is coming to an end. Kim also shared her feelings towards the show by spending hours before the next-to-last season aired, sharing old photos and videos from earlier episodes of the series.
Even though Kourtney might’ve stopped enjoying the filming process of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, there were moments that she did like being on the show. As she got older, Kourtney became a mother and more successful in other areas of her professional career where she wanted to put her focus on rather than filming.
