Fans were quick to analyze the painting, wondering whether North actually made it herself or not. While the negative comments were questioning North’s artistic ability, it may not have actually been her fault. In fact, the backlash may have actually been due to the reputation of the entire Keeping Up With the Kardashians family.

While fans have seen her sing, dance, model and even design her own clothes, they were recently introduced to yet another one of North’s many talents. When Kim first posted the photo of North’s detailed painting, fans were shocked by how it looked professionally painted. They quickly began to assume that North did not in fact paint it herself. While many rumors began to spread across social media, some people assumed that it was actually a paint by numbers painting.
The negative backlash North West received from her painting may not have been her fault. A fan took to Reddit to defend North, explaining that it was not actually her fault that people did not believe she painted the detailed landscape. It is the reputation of the entire Kardashian-Jenner family that caused it. Over the years, the famous family have time and time again denied the obvious. The famous sisters have denied getting plastic surgery, overlining their lips, using filters or photoshop, etc. Because of this, fans never know what to believe and what not to believe as their “brand isn’t genuine.” The entire family has a reputation for being liars. In the Reddit thread, fans began to reminisce on all of the times the Kardashian sisters have been caught in their lies in the past. They had a lot of proof from Khloe lying about baking pies for Thanksgiving to Kim saying North posted and deleted photos on her Instagram to the entire family lying about Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy. Needless to say, fans may have actually been doubting Kim rather than North.

Although the hate seemed to have been intended for North, it may have been misinterpreted. Many fans believe that the negativity was caused by the assumption of “Kim stretching the truth.” In fact, most people seemed to have never even questioned North’s painting ability. It is very much possible that with the proper instruction a seven-year-old could in fact create such a masterpiece. In Kim’s Instagram rant, blasting fans for criticizing North’s painting, she explained that North has been taking art classes with her friend Ryan. However, on the other hand, it could be easy to assume that a seven-year-old could not paint with that much talent for those who may not have a knack for art.
Fans sympathize with the children of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family, as they have been born into a life that receives so much hate. The fame and reputation of North’s parents have caused the entire Internet to question her talents at just seven years old.
