Justice For Han Is Coming In Fast & Furious 9 Character Poster

Following the release of the trailer for Fast & Furious 9, or as it’s officially known F9, Universal Pictures releases a new character poster featuring Han. The Fast Saga kicked off with the original The Fast and the Furious movie in 2001. The movie starred Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster, all of whom have returned for future films. The late Paul Walker was also a prominent figure in the franchise up until his passing in 2013. All told, there have been eight Fast & Furious films released that were considered part of the main saga, plus one spinoff movie, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

Though Fast & Furious 9 isn’t due out until this spring, hype is already building thanks to the trailer drop today. Among its many reveals, the trailer indicated that John Cena will play Dom’s brother, in his first appearance in the franchise. The new Fast & Furious 9 footage also shared the returns of three characters introduced in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. These are Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), Earl (Jason Tobin), and most notably, Han (Sung Kang).

Soon after this reveal, the official The Fast Saga Twitter account shared a new character poster of Han, with the tagline “Justice Is Coming.” His return is easily the most surprising, considering he seemingly died in Tokyo Drift. Now it appears that is not the case. Complicating matters, Han was killed by Deckard Shaw, who is now considered part of the team. The tagline references the Justice For Han movement, which is exactly what it sounds like. Fans see the way Shaw was welcomed into the family as a betrayal of Han, though now it seems they may have to answer for that. Check out Han’s Fast & Furious 9 character poster below:

The Fast & Furious franchise has been a massive hit for Universal, however, with the release of Fast & Furious 9, the series of blockbuster movies are reaching their end. Fast & Furious 10 is expected to end the main films in the saga, though other spinoffs could still happen. These include a female-led entry in the film franchise, possibly featuring Charlize Theron’s character, Cipher. A TV spinoff is also a possibility.

While still surprising, character resurrections like Han’s aren’t as uncommon as they used to be. In fact, another blockbuster releasing just one month after Fast & Furious 9Wonder Woman 1984, will feature one, as Chris Pine reprises his role of Steve Trevor. Like Han, Steve was thought to have died in a previous film but will make another appearance. However, in films with heightened realities like Fast & Furious 9, all fans really care about is that the reactions from other characters are believable. As Han reunites with his family, hopefully that is the case.
