Following a brief hiccup in its development, Gareth Edwards has come on board to direct Jurassic World 4.
Just a few weeks after Deadpool 2‘s David Leitch departed the position, The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that Gareth Edwards has signed on to direct Jurassic World 4. Edwards, perhaps best known for his work on the Star Wars anthology movie, Rogue One, is fresh off the critical success of his sci-fi action movie The Creator, which is up for two Oscar nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound. The new movie is still set for a July 2, 2025 release date, though no production start date has been announced as of the time of writing.
