Jujutsu Kaisen Teases That Gojo’s Strongest Successor Is Already Dead

WARNING: SPOILERS for chapter #251 of Jujutsu KaisenJujutsu Kaisen has revealed a shocking detail that could spell the upcoming death of beloved hero, Yuta Okkotsu. When Yuta duplicated Sukuna’s “Cleave” technique and used it against the villain, he seemed to be slowly gaining the upper hand over the King of Curses. However, Sukuna’s use of his World Cutting Slash ability against Yuta likely means that the current strongest sorcerer will fall in the same way as his master, Gojo.

Sukuna and Yuta’s battle has been quite lengthy and complex, with the latter utilizing many unique and powerful techniques like Jacob’s Ladder against the King of Curses with his “Copy” skill. However, in chapter #251 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna has retaliated in a truly shocking way, hitting the sorcerers with a devastating blow that may have serious, deadly consequences.

Jujutsu Kaisen Teases That Gojo’s Strongest Successor Is Already Dead

The King of Curses has unleashed his “World Cutting Slash” against Yuta, causing him to bleed and, judging from the panel, slicing the sorcerer in half. Horrifyingly, this specific attack is the same one that killed the strongest sorcerer, Gojo Satoru, a few chapters back in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Sukuna Has Hit Yuta With The Same Technique That Killed Gojo

The King of Curses relies on a series of cutting and slashing techniques to defeat his opponents, including Dismantle and Cleave. His most recently used skill, World Cutting Slash, is definitely the most powerful of all of Sukuna’s slash techniques. This immensely powerful attack is impossible to dodge because it targets “the world” rather than his opponent. The attack’s deadliness has been proved by Gojo’s recent demise in chapter #236. Since the technique can “cut the world” as Sukuna explained, he was able to slice the strongest sorcerer in half, even with his Limitless protective barrier.

The King of Curses’ recent use of the same attack on Yuta could hint that the younger sorcerer may not survive. It appeared as if Yuta and Yuji’s barrage of high-powered strikes against the weakened villain were succeeding, but this new development may change the circumstances of the fight and place the odds back in the King of Curses’ favor. All hope is not lost, however, and Yuta’s Reverse Cursed Technique could still save him.

Yuta Could Use His Reverse Cursed Technique To Heal From Sukuna’s Blow

It is discouraging that Yuta has been hit with a harmful strike that was able to kill Gojo, but the sorcerer may be able to bounce back from his injury. Using his Reverse Cursed Energy technique, he may be able to heal his wound. However, the issue is that Cursed Energy flows from the brain into the body. If Yuta has been really sliced in half, it means that he can’t actually heal, just like it happened with Gojo.

It would surely be tragic if Yuta, who has been hailed as the stronger sorcerer and Gojo’s rightful successor, would die in the same way as his master. Still, the final results of the King of Curse’s strike have not been revealed, so fans will have to wait and see Yuta will use his unique skills to recuperate from the attack and continue battling against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen.
