In his Marvel Comics adventures, Cain Marko has proven that he can smash into other dimensions when at the height of his powers. Since the Infinity Stones shatter when they’re displaced outside their universe, Juggernaut secretly has a way to destroy the powerful gems if needed.
Juggernaut is one of the most powerful villains in the entire Marvel Universe, as the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak has gifted him with incredible powers that gave him earth-shattering strength and durability. On top of that, his helmet makes him invulnerable to mental attacks. Taking down Juggernaut is a tall task, even for a hero like Thor. While Juggernaut has delivered some crushing blows over the years, during the ’90s, it was revealed that in his most powerful form he was able to punch holes into reality itself. As a result, Juggernaut secretly has the powers required to destroy the Infinity Stones, as Captain America’s destruction of the gems proves so.
In X-Men #88 by Alan Davis, Joe Casey, Mark Farmer, Marie Javins, Richard Starkings, and Wes Abbott, the comic featured Juggernaut losing control and punching a hole into reality, as he was able to rip through space-time itself after being reunited with the Crimson Gem’s of Cyttorak, while being possessed by the villain Trion.
So, what does Juggernaut’s scarcely seen ability to punch holes in reality have to do with Infinity Stones? Well, in New Avengers #3 by Jonathan Hickman, Steve Epting, Frank D’Armata, and VC’s Joe Caramagna, when Captain America tries to use the Infinity Stones when an incursion is occurring. However, using the gems while reaching into another reality results in the Infinity Stones being destroyed. The moment showed that while the Infinity Stones are among the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Universe, on other Earths, they are ineffective and, at worst, unable to survive. Because of their weakness in other realities, Juggernaut could hypothetically destroy the Stones.
With the Infinity Stones shattering in other dimensions, it’s not out of the question that Juggernaut could use his most powerful form to punch a hole in reality and place the gems in a new world and destroy them. While using his powers to destroy the Infinity Stones hasn’t been tested in the Marvel Universe, the gem’s reaction with Captain America during the inclusion shows their vulnerability when placed on other Earths.
Heroes like America Chavez would also seemingly be able to destroy the Infinity Stones with her own reality-hopping powers. But, for Juggernaut, in his most powerful dimension-breaking form, he likely could destroy the Infinity Stones if needed, making him a surprising secret weapon against the gems.
