Joe Giudice Fought Hard Against Deportation to Keep Relationship with Daughter Gia

Joe Giudice fought hard against deportation to keep his relationship with daughter Gia. The Real Housewives of New Jersey episodes showed the toll that the situation had taken on Joe’s wife and the Giudice daughters, showing them barely holding it together.

Joe Giudice, best known for trying to pull one over on the United States government, was released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement one month ago on October 11, and then flown immediately back to his home country, Italy, after being in ICE custody since March. Recently, Giudice and his wife, Teresa, sat down with a tell-all interview where they opened up about the state of their marriage to Andy Cohen. In the worthwhile one hour special, the two Bravo personalities took jabs at one another and admitted that neither one of them believe that the other one was faithful while they were in jail. Now, after three years apart, the Giudice family has been reunited.

With the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 10 premiere done and dusted, fans were left with their heads spinning at just how blunt eldest daughter Gia Giudice was. The new episode focused on how hard the family had taken Joe being locked up and then banned from the only country he had ever known. Teresa spoke with her daughter about the possibility that the appeal may not be granted, leaving the girls to wonder how they would cope without their father.

According to Gia, she implored her father to fight his deportation no matter how long it took. The 18-year-old admitted that she threatened to severe her relations ship with Joe because, at first, her father was against the idea, as it would take multiple appeals. Gia told the cameras that she begged her dad to take the fight to the supreme court. Joe initially did not want to spend time in Immigrations Custody and Enforcement, as it was said to be worse conditions than the jail. The Rutgers University freshman said she understood why her father at times would want to give up and sign the papers to be deported, but still believed that his deportation should not have been happening. The eldest daughter stated that her father should have made himself a citizen “a long time ago” instead of ignoring the terms and conditions of staying in the United States.

For the four daughters, this is the time when their father can show his love for them by not giving up and exhausting all options. Even though Joe only lived in Italy for the first year of his life and called America home, he still broke the law. Many believe that he got what he deserved and was punished accordingly, while others think it is horrendous that the government broke up a family. The only for sure fact is Joe will have to brush up on his Italian as it looks like it will be a very long process to gain access back to his New Jersey life.
