Jersey Shore: Family Vacation: Mike ‘The Situation’ Slacking on Probation

Mike ‘The Situation” might be getting himself into some more legal trouble. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star seems to be falling behind on his community service hours as a part of his probation. Mike was sentenced to prison for eight months in January of 2018 for tax evasion. He was later released in September of 2019.

Fans have watched Mike ‘The Situation” evolve and mature over the last 11 years of Jersey Shore. When Mike first made his reality TV debut, he was a wild 27-year-old who only cared about partying and dodging “grenades.” After the original series end, Mike began to change his life for the better by seeking help in rehab. By the start of the spin-off series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Mike had become a new person. He had a new positive outlook on life, traded in the alcohol for food, and even was in a serious relationship with now wife Lauren. Mike dealt with the last bit of his past holding him back from moving on to the next chapter of his life: his tax evasion. The show portrayed Mike going to trial, being sentenced and even his arrival home to his wife and roommates.

Although Mike ‘The Situation” has been out of prison for quite some time now, that does not mean he is completely done with his tax evasion drama. TMZ reported that Mike is allegedly falling behind on his community service hours, leaving his probation officer unhappy. Although he was suppose to complete a total of 500 community service hours, Mike has only completed 18 hours so far. Mike’s probation officer is highly disappointed with the Jersey Shore star’s lack of motivation to complete his required community service. The officer believes that Mike deserves a “slap on the wrist” from a judge.

Mike’s probation officer allegedly had given him multiple ideas of how to complete all 500 hours of community service. Some of her ideas included volunteering at different food banks, volunteering at a local church and even working with Toys for Tots during the holiday season. Mike was scheduled to complete some of his community service hours back in August but did not show up due to “fears related to the novel coronavirus.” Mike has been reminded on multiple occasions of his community service hours by his probation officer. She has even given him suggestions of opportunities he can partake in from home.

Mike ‘The Situation” will have his hands full over the next few months. Not only will he have to help his wife plan for their new baby boy, he will have to find a way to complete his remaining 482 hours of community service. Hopefully Mike can work hard to complete these hours before the latest addition of the Jersey Shore family comes along in May of 2021.
