Jersey Shore: Angelina Says Pandemic Added Stress To Her Marriage

Star of Jersey Shore Angelina Pivarnick recently admitted that the COVID-19 pandemic added extra stress to her marriage with Chris Larangeira. Angelina and Chris tied the knot in an extravagant wedding back in 2019, which ultimately brought much drama to the show. Less than a year later, Angelina found herself quarantining alone during the pandemic as her husband, Chris, had to continue working. Now, their relationship is much different than it once was.

In the cast descriptions for the upcoming season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it was revealed that Angelina will be dealing with marital issues throughout the new episodes. While the short bio did not give much information regarding Angelina and Chris’s relationship, it did state that Chris moved out of their shared home. This led many fans to assume the two are currently no longer together. Throughout the season, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will step in to help Angelina fix her marriage.

Despite many viewers thinking that Angelina and Chris have already divorced, Angelina claims they are taking things “day by day.” According to Us Weekly, the pandemic brought on marital issues for Angelina and Chris, catching Angelina completely off guard. While her co-stars, Pauly D and Nikki Hall, have said quarantine actually helped them better their relationship, things weren’t as easy for Angelina during her time at home. She said, “It was a lot with this pandemic. Unlike Pauly D and Nikki Hall, it didn’t really help our relationship out too much. It kind of did the opposite.

The pandemic not only strained Angelina’s relationship with Chris, it also put a hold on her plans for becoming a mom. Angelina, who will be turning 35 years old on June 26, explained that her mind changes each day when it comes to motherhood. While she admitted she is getting older, she is not sure if she’s ready to start a family with Chris. However, Angelina does hope to one day become a mom. Back in 2011, when Jersey Shore was nearing its final season, Angelina revealed she had suffered a miscarriage, which she blamed on the stress brought about by the show.

It seems Angelina and Chris are currently still together and working on their marriage. Just recently, Chris attended the MTV Movie & TV Awards alongside his wife and her co-stars. It is unknown if they are living together again or not. Angelina did not go into any more details regarding the issues that occurred between her and Chris during quarantine. She did, however, encourage fans to tune in to the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation to watch it all play out.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation returns June 3 at 8pm ET on MTV.
