Jedi: Survivor’s Merrin Looks Amazing In This New Star Wars Cosplay

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Merrin looks intimidatingly powerful in stunning new Star Wars cosplay. In the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game, and its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Merrin is portrayed as a commanding, cunning, and wise Dathomirian Nightsister. As one of the last of her kind, Merrin’s Nightsister magick is a unique power in the galaxy, but it’s not the only thing that makes her powerful. Merrin is also a skilled fighter, which is exactly what makes her and Star Wars Jedi’s primary Jedi protagonist, Cal Kestis, such a great fit, both “professionally” and personally.

Cosplayer Jule has effortlessly captured Merrin’s intimidating physical presence. Their cosplay, which was designed by freelance illustrator Jake Bartok and photographed by Tobias Ohlig, is a great interpretation of Merrin’s character, her customary Dathomirian Nightsister garb as worn in Fallen Order, and her impressive potential.

Of course, it’s hard to miss that this particular version of Merrin is carrying a green-bladed lightsaber, representative of the color of her Nightsister magick, which is the same brilliant shade of green. Though Merrin isn’t normally in possession of a lightsaber, her close association with both Cal and his Jedi mentor, Cere Junda, means she’s certainly well aware of how to wield one.

Lightsabers in the Star Wars galaxy aren’t only blue and red – there are 8 canon lightsaber colors in Star Wars (so far). Here’s what they all mean.

Will Merrin Ever Wield A Lightsaber Of Her Own?

Merrin in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Though a third Star Wars Jedi game is reportedly in the works, which will continue Merrin’s (and Cal’s) story, Merrin’s future could very well lie beyond the confines of the Jedi games. Cal is conspicuously absent from almost all stories surrounding the events of the original Star Wars trilogy. As such, there’s a good chance Cal may not be around for much longer, as tragic as that may be. He’s risked his life for years, and Merrin has been by his side the entire time. Against all odds, they fell in love, and now they hope to help people flee from and survive the Empire.

If Cal does meet a tragic end, it’s possible that Merrin will go on to wield his lightsaber, carrying it as a memento of their time together. Though Cal’s lightsaber (probably) canonically has a blue blade, it would still be incredibly meaningful. Plenty of lightsabers have been used by those not as well-connected to the Force, but since Nightsister Magick is simply a different use of the Force, Merrin may well become extremely proficient with the Jedi’s weapon. Now that the Nightsisters have made a return to the galaxy in Ahsoka season 1, Merrin may make an appearance in Star Wars after Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Following up after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues the journey of Cal Kestis after surviving the aftermath of Order 66 and the mass execution of the Jedi. Five years after barely escaping the clutches of Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire, Cal continues to live on the run with his robot companion, BD-1. Players will now assume the role of Cal Kestis as no longer a Padawan but a Jedi Master.
