Jared Leto’s WeCrashed Show Trailer Reveals March Release Date

The trailer for Apple TV+’s new drama WeCrashed starring Jared Leto has revealed a March release date. WeCrashed is set to follow the real-life story of the rise and fall of WeWork, a workplace startup website established by tech-boss Adam Neumann. WeWork skyrocketed to financial success for over a decade and was at times as promising as other leading social networks and worksites, but eventually fell into chaos, resulting in Neumann being removed as CEO for allegations of misconduct. The true story of the couple at the center of the scandal will come to Apple TV+ as a dramatic miniseries, which is based on a recent successful podcast by Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello.

Oscar winners Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway lead the cast as the husband-and-wife duo the Neumanns, with Leto set to play the divisive, power-driven CEO. Eisenberg and Crevello have written the series and act as showrunners, while John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (This Is Us, Crazy Stupid Love) will direct the 8-episode saga. Leto brings an element of true star power to the show following his controversial but compelling performance in House of Gucci last year.

A new trailer for the series has been released by Apple TV+, revealing that the show will debut on March 18. In a dramatic, story-driven trailer, audiences get their first look at Leto and Hathaway in action. The trailer shows the Neumann’s meteoric rise and mythical fall from grace, while also focusing on the relationship between the tech boss and his wife. While showing snippets of the dramatic confrontations, rising tensions, and dialogue-driven drama, the trailer also confirms that Leto will be diving into accent-work again in order to portray the Israeli CEO. The series was announced in January 2021, with Leto and Hathaway instantly attached to star. It marked a return to TV for Leto, following 25 years of focusing on his films and music. First images for the Apple Original series dropped in December, showing the acting duo in character as the close-but-conflicted couple. Now, following Leto’s headline-stealing role in House of Gucci and the ongoing anticipation for his superhero flick Morbius, viewers will be even more interested in the actor’s biopic performance for Apple TV+.

WeCrashed is set to draw in viewers to the Apple streaming service following the platform’s recent successes with original films such as Cherry starring Tom Holland. Apple is certainly getting star power and drawing some of the biggest names in Hollywood to its underdog-side of the streaming wars. With a March release date confirmed, it won’t be long before audiences finally get to see the interesting true story brought to life by Hathaway and Leto. WeCrashed debuts on Apple TV+ on March 18.
