James Gunn Responds To DC Universe Batman Casting Rumors

As the DC Universe is set to get working on multiple projects in 2024, James Gunn addresses the latest The Brave and The Bold casting rumors.

While The Brave and The Bold doesn’t have a release date yet, rumors have been floating around that DC Studios is looking to start casting its version of Batman soon. After DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn got asked about these rumors on Threads, he addressed the validity of this theoretical timeline, shedding more light on the DC Universe timeline:

In response to Gabriel Mars’ question if “it’s true that a new actor is about to be cast for Batman,” Gunn mentioned that he “keep[s] getting this question,” and debunked the rumor by stating, “it’s totally false. We don’t have a script yet.”
