There are way too many streaming services out there today, and Amazon Prime users may be wondering if their current plan can be combined with other services like Paramount Plus to save some money on a separate subscription. Some of the best video-streaming platforms have bundle deals (such as the Paramount+ and Showtime bundle) that allow users to essentially cut the cord with their cable television subscription and opt for a combination that only includes networks and providers that offer titles they actually want to watch.
People who have an existing Amazon Prime Video subscription can choose from a variety of featured channels to watch from, including Paramount Plus. Unfortunately, it is not one of the free services offered, but there is a way to test it without getting charged. To date, Amazon Prime Video offers the Premium ad-free plan for the Paramount+ channel at $9.99 per month, but users can give the service a try for seven days without paying. They just need to cancel Paramount+ before the trial period elapses, or it will start auto-charging the payment method on file for the service.
How To Add Paramount Plus To Prime Video
Amazon Prime members can start accessing Paramount Plus-exclusive content through Prime Video by adding the channel. To do this through a desktop or laptop, launch Prime Video on a web browser, sign in, find Paramount+ through the list of featured channels, and click on the channel graphic. Next, click ‘Learn more’ within the Paramount+ banner on top of the page. Click ‘Start your 7-day free trial,’ confirm payment details, then hit ‘Start your free trial’ at the bottom of the page to immediately begin watching Paramount+ movies and TV shows. Note that once the free trial period elapses, charges for the subscription will be billed through the user’s Amazon account.
To add Paramount Plus to Prime Video through a smart device, open the Prime Video app and then search for ‘Paramount+.’ Alternatively, look for the Prime Video Channels category and select it from the list. Select ‘Learn More‘ and choose the Premium plan. Click ‘Start your free trial‘ to begin watching Paramount+ through Prime Video. It’s worth noting that Amazon Prime users can only subscribe to the Paramount Plus Premium plan through channels, and not the Essential plan. Users who prefer to pay for the cheaper $4.99 Essential plan will need to do that directly through the Paramount+ app or website.
Once Amazon customers have successfully subscribed to Paramount+ and added its corresponding channel to their Prime Video account, they can watch titles offered by the service through the Prime Video mobile app as well as any smart TV that has the Prime Video channel installed. Alternatively, they can also stream directly on the Paramount+ website and app, on both mobile devices and smart TVs, provided that they verify their Amazon account and their Paramount+ channel subscription on the platform.
