Irish Wish’s Lindsay Lohan Family Cameo Is Even Better After 1 Subtle Detail From Her 2-Year-Old Netflix Rom-Com

The appearance of Lindsay Lohan’s brother in her latest Netflix romantic comedy Irish Wish makes his past appearances in her films even better, as they showcase just how long the Lohans’ have been entertaining audiences. Irish Wish follows Lohans’ character Maddie Kelly, a book editor who has been secretly in love with the author she has been working with, Paul Kennedy (Alexander Vlahos). After Paul meets another woman, the heartbroken Maddie travels to Ireland to be a bridesmaid for their wedding.

During her stay, she comes upon an old wishing bench. After chatting with a fairy, Maddie laments her unrequited feelings and wishes to be the bride, which comes true to her delight. However, as time goes on, Maddie realizes that she and Paul may not be the right fit romantically. This forces her to track down the fairy and, perhaps, find true love along the way in an unexpected place.

Lindsay Lohan’s Brother Dakota Makes A Bigger Cameo In Irish Wish After An Uncredited Appearance In Falling For Christmas

Lindsey Lohan’s brother, Dakota Lohan, is cast in Irish Wish as Finn, making this only the latest film he has made with his sister. Dakota Lohan’s Finn appears in the archery scene, getting to create some extra comedic banter that the leads play off of easily. This contrasts his last appearance on screen with his sister Lindsey, where he was credited as “Belmont Guest” and had no lines during her film Falling For Christmas.

Dakota Lohan is not the only one joining his sister on the big screen. Aliana Lohan also appeared in Falling For Christmas as Bianca and was an extra in one of her early films, Life-Size. Bianca’s confusion and determination to find Lindsey Lohan’s character in Falling For Christmas added humor and heart to the film despite having minimal lines, similar to Dakota. Alongside this, Aliana Lohan also contributed to Irish Wish on the soundtrack, writing the song “Armor” for the film.

Dakota Lohan’s First Movie Role Is A Great Reminder Of How Long Lindsay Lohan Has Been Ruling Rom-Coms

Dakota Lohan’s appearances in his sister’s films go back as far as her movie The Parent Trap, showcasing Lindsey Lohan’s growth as she continues in the genre. Appearing uncredited as “Baby at Airport”, Dakota Lohan’s continued support of his sister shines through as his roles grow, leading to his appearance in Irish Wish at 27 years old. That support has allowed him to grow into acting much like his sister, giving audiences great moments of levity as Lindsey Lohan continues to dominate the romantic comedy genre.

Lindsey Lohan’s recent rom-com return marks a clear path of growth from her Disney days. After some time away from the spotlight, fans can see an actress who has taken the time to regain her comfort on the screen and has created a path for her family to join her in stardom. Irish Wish keeps that same whimsey she is known for in the genre while also letting her and those around her expand their comedic and romantic scope, demonstrating that there could be many more laughs to come from the Lohan family.
